(after we managed to sit thru the opening "act") I guess you know, most of us "mature" Country Singers are just a "little bit envious" that you keep singin' your songs in the original keys!! Can't understand how come your voice defies all "standards".. Could be because as far as all us so-called "ex-weekend Warriors" are concerned.. there just ain't nobody around who can match your sound! Still hearin' the concert in our heads.. and wishing with all our might that you might happen to like some of the stuff we sent ya! Thanks, Gene.. And thanks to your great bunch of guys on stage with you! It was almost like "old home week" gettin' to talk with Corky and Jim.
