I was born a little over sixty years ago in Jacksonville, Florida where I still live today. I am a native Floridian. I love this area. It is home.
If you need to know more I suggest you check out my website at

As to what I am doing here: I work with teenagers teaching computer skills and because they have all heard on TV and about that MySpace is the cool place they all want a MySpace Profile - but of course they need a 60 year old woman to figure out the code for them.
Today's younger generation is so tech savvy.
So that is what I am doing here - figuring out MySpace which has a few rules of its own. Whatever...
My first favorite show was "Robin Hood" with Richard Green back in the fifties. Later I became a big Star Trek fan, of the original series. Somehow I never got into the other ones.
Some years after that I liked Buffy and Angel very much; but, the television series that has meant the most to my life is "Beauty and the Beast."
This series, created by Ron Koslow, ran from 1987 until 1990, and starred Linda Hamilton (The Terminator) and Ron Perlman (Hellboy.) Also featured were Roy Dotrice, Jay Avocone, and Edward Albert.

I found just about everything about it fascinating from the unlikely romance between a New York Assistant D.A. and a noble man-beast to the Beast, Vincent's, remarkable city below the streets where people learn to care for each other and there is always time for a good book and a cup of hot tea.
Visually the program was stunning too - even by today's standards. Just take a look at the screen captures on this page.

I am not a terribly musical person really. That is to say that I prefer to ride in a car without the radio on, that right now, at my computer, there is no sound in the room except for my typing. I have no idea what songs are in the top 10 or 40 in any genre of music at the present or any other time. I don't know who didn't make it on American Idol last night. Didn't watch.
I think my favorite song might be "Try to Remember" from the old off Broadway play "The Fantastiks." I like the feeling it evokes.
As a Southerner, I was raised on Country music, so have a soft spot for it, but I am less than thrilled with much of the right wing content of the music nowadays.
I am also less than happy with the glorification of the gang life style is much of today's music and youth culture. This is something you find a lot on MySpace. The kids, well they are kids. But the powers that be should know better.
I like a lot of old stuff, really old stuff, most of it was old before I was born - and that was sixty years ago! Even as a kid I was that way. Al Jolson, Eddie Cantor, Jimmy Durante. Also like Dean Martin who is a bit more recent, but still I guess old.
The way I see it, I am cool enough, not to care about being cool. I don't much care about being politically correct either.
POLITICS: left of center, although here and there I turn a turn right.
RELIGION: Atheist/Agnostic.
LIKES: animals, especially cats, potato salad, meatloaf, chocolate, jalapeno peppers, and the color, blue.
DISLIKES: spiders, seafood, and peanut butter on my chocolate!
