In autumn 2009 Genjor handed in another 2 songs or was it 3 I think to SVT but all were rejected again, and hence Genjor will no longer keep his 3 minute best songs secret anymore but start making them into the market when it is possible.
In autumn 2008 Genjor Production have handed in 2 entries (of 3440) to Melodifestivalen. The production is way better than previous years, still a lot remains but was rejected bu SVT. Empty room has been sent to International Karaoke Contest October. This song is not written by Genjor hence it's a cover. Genjor Mcnell and his cover song "Hero" reached 2nd place in International Karaoke Contest (IKC) in September. During the end of 2008 Genjor production will continue to improve the production of songs as well as deepening the song-writing co-operation with his partners. Here on myspace there will be an update of the songs with the new improved sound at latest in december 2008.
In my webpage you can read lyrics and listen to songs that I've been working on but also follow the creating of songs online. At the moment I am looking for song-writing partners, especially the ones that play the guitarr but also those who write lyrics. I am also on the quest to find producers and artists that can take my songs to the stage of better performing and publishing.
Instrument: Keyboard (Piano), flute Nationality: Sweden Musical style: Pop, schlager, ethnic pop, country music Musical inspiration: Benny Andersson & Björn Ulveus, Simon & Garfunkel, Lennon & McCartney, Elton John, Mikael Wiehe, ABBA, Eurovision Song Favourite song: "The winner takes it all" -
Currently I write songs mostly on my own but co-operate with lyricist Jacob Wallgren (Swedish/English). I have also written songs together with Tony Sanchez Ohlsson (English), Yannick Piganeau (French) and Magnus "Roosen" Roos (English & Swedish). But none of them has been properly released yet. I was born in 1969 in Falun and lived my first years in Säter. My mother's family originate from Färnäs outside Mora and we have a cottage in the summervillage Fåsås. It is also in this village in the cottage that the song "My kind of love" was first written, but by then it was a melancholic ballad. I then lived and went to school in Skinnskatteberg in the middle of Swedish forest's lands. As a child I listened a lot to my parents vinyl records but they only had a few, and I especially remember Claus Wunderlich organ records, one Mireille Mathieu with the fantastic "On ne vie pas sans se dire adieu" and the Swedish Thorleifs albums with the classical "Gråt inga tårar". But I was a huge ABBA-fan and the Greatest hits Album with their best songs 73-75 was the one I had closest to my heart. "Fernando", S.O.S and "Bang-A-Boomerang" were my favourits. But friends of mine had ABBA albums like "Arrival" and "The Album" which I got recorded on music casetts.
About the age of 7, back in 1976 I bought with my own money for the first time a mono tape recorder for 300 SEK and had that beige, mono, one ear "headphone" that I had in the car listening while we were driving to the country cottage. Yes, it worked with batteries and I can still remember the battery case and how I put in batteries. My grandmother was amazed I remember how there could be such fantastic sound from such a small device. And what music was it on the tapes? ABBA, ABBA and ABBA. And then sometime around 1982 I started to record "Eurovision Song Contest" and they were played until the tape broke. But ABBA has always been there as the huge inspiration. But also big hit songs like "It's a sin" 1987 and "I will survive", "Bridge over trouble water", "Candle in the wind", "Blowing in the wind". I loved Eurovision because it was the only way you could get songs with different rythms than pop or rock and also to hear other languages than Swedish and English
When I was in the age of buying my own records in the early 80:ies I first bought 2 "The Boppers" album with new versions of songs of the 60:ies rock/pop songs. Then I had the Carola fever and I was in love with this amazing star and I played the "Främling" Album so much it started to get scratchy. All during the education of computer science and economics song-writing was the things I liked as a hobby. In 1993 I moved to Stockholm where I still live. There are three main categories of music I appriciate the most. The ones that moves your soul with great emotional lyrics or a melody so beautiful it must origine from heaven. The ones that simply forces you to stand up and dance to them. The ones that tell a story that is very important or interesting or inspirational to a great melody as well In 2003 or so I started to let people listen to my songs and went to song writing classes. In 2005 I started to co-write songs with other lyrisists and song-writers and in 2006 I got my first full home studio and in october 2006 I started to build this webpage and ordered visit cards as a song-writer and intensified the search for partners in creation of music. In 2007 I made more progress in songwriting and learning more about music production. Plans for 2007/2008 are to get co-operation with artists and producers also and more song-writers. And to get at least one song produced for Melodifestivalen 2008.
Thankyou for your time and may inspiration and creativity be with you in your life
