Sounds Like
High energy harmonica - driven, dynamic, jumpin' & swingin', lowdown and dirty Chicago & West Coast Blues.
My name is Tim Corbett and I hail originally from Ireland. I currently front my band "Gentleman Tim & The Contenders" with harp and vocal duties. Our gigs are mainly in the Greater London area and we also travel to Ireland up to three times a year for various Blues Festivals. I was introduced to the big band sounds of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman at an early age and graduated toward the Blues later. My introduction to the Harmonica was at Pete Welland's regular Blues Jam in Twickenham, West London in the late 90's. This is were I met some great harp players like Mark Burness, Cameron Gray, Pete Welland, Lee Sankey, Laurie Garman. I then got hooked on the whole Chicago West Coast Blues thing and started my quest to learn to play the harmonica. I bought all the records suggested and I spent most of my weekends checking out and learning from the local blues bands and visiting American Blues Artists. This also led to the purchase of lots of valve amps, mics, harps also.
I have had the pleasure in seeing live some great blues men like Charlie Musslewhite, Junior Wells, Rod Piazza, Kim Wilson & The Fab-T-Birds, Sam Myers, John Nemeth, R.J. Mischo, Junior Watson, Anson Funderburg. I started my first band called The Borroway Blues Band and formed another band called Fatnin Frogs Blues Band that played regularly in 'Aint Nothin But The Blues Bar' in Kingly St, London. The current band is called 'Gentleman Tim & The Contenders' and we recorded our first CD called "Left Hook On The Blues" in 2006 which has had some great reviews and airplay. It can be purchased on-line from CDBaby at http://cdbaby.com/cd/gttc.
I have collected many microphones over the years and play mainly Astatic bullets mics with 151 or Shure CM / CR elements. I have also over the years collected many valve amps that I have now started to scale down. My favorite gigging amps I currently use regulary are the Fender Bassman, Fender Concert, Meteor & Mini Meteor. Finding the right Delay pedal that I liked took some time and I have now downsized my collection to two Boss Pedals which are a DD-2 and DD-3. I play Hohner Marine Bands and Hohner Chromatics.

HarpKing is a fine amp but I think my mods to the vics have given my my "Holy Grail" of tone.
