"Gentry Bronson can see the future of the music business, one in which he hits it big without selling his soul to a big recording company."
- Dan Fost, San Francisco Chronicle
"Gentry's music covers the waterfront of beautiful losers and missed connections weaving in and out of traditional singer-songwriting, jazz and blues."
- Mperia
"Gentry Bronson, a Bread & Roses performer, is a gem, an exceptional talent. I wish I had the correct words to tell you of his talent and his dramatic skills as he sings and plays the keyboard and captivates his audience. He isn't just singing and playing, he feels his music, his arms and hands wave, flinging in the air gracefully. The audience seemed under his spell."
- Lucia Whitney, Bread & Roses
"From the heights of the independent music scene comes someone to get excited about: Gentry Bronson! Like a modern-day Billy Joel with a flair for the alternative, Gentry's music is refreshingly vibrant and exciting every step of the way."
- Sheila Kirsten Hughes, Nubzilla
"Like Wilco’s 'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot', Bronson lays it on the line with every word he utters while seated in front of his piano, his fingers rolling deliberately across the keyboard as he sings. In addition to talent and skill, Bronson also has vision, and a certain kind of wisdom that comes forth whenever he sits down and begins to play."
- Gregory J. Pleshaw, New Mexico Art News
"'No War' is a very well produced album with the perfect amount of layers to keep listeners involved, and not get them lost within the songs. Gentry Bronson provides great piano work and melody lines reminiscent of Leonard Cohen and Billy Joel, taking from great collections of piano rock."
- Damon Kellard, Bryan Farrish Radio
'No War' - 2007 - Piano-based, Singer-Songwriter, Indie Rock "concept" record
'Santa Fe Sky' - 2006 - instrumental ambient desert soundscapes - with multi-instrumentalist Dave Hoover
"Something magical happened in New Mexico in June of 2006. Two disparate musicians met each other more or less by accident. The result is a record called "Santa Fe Sky". While it might be easy to dismiss a record like this as another "New Age" record, the speed with which it was recorded, the serendipity of the meeting of these players, and the soulfulness of the performances point to a music that is just as easily informed by punk rock, jazz, and Americana musics that suggest no simple comparison."
- New Mexico Bands
"Dave Hoover teams up with pianist Gentry Bronson for a set of leisurely, generous, and altogether wonderful duets I think you will find ideal for meditation, movement, healing, or just plain easy listening. This is sublime stuff."
- Robert Sundes, Ostara-The Metaphysical Music Man
'Rain Come Down' - 2005 - The Night Watchmen's swan song
'Home' - 2004 - Studio recorded raw, live & solo - stripped bare to only an acoustic piano & a weathered voice
'Tranquillo' - 2004 - Instrumental piano compositions
'Lost In California' - 2003 - The first full length Night Watchmen record filled with dark theatric alterna-noir songs backed by piano, sax, violin, trumpet, bass & drums

Just as Gentry Bronson was releasing his first solo record, Dan Fost of the San Francisco Chronicle wrote “Gentry Bronson can see the future of the music business.” 3 solo indie records later, the hard working San Francisco musician continues to draw worldwide fans to his piano-driven music. The intersection of storytelling and melody in his songwriting, and a unique vocal style, have earned him regular comparisons to Tom Waits, Tori Amos, Ben Folds and David Gray.
After winning three Northern California Songwriters Awards in 2000, Gentry formed the band The Night Watchmen, whom he led and released three records with from 2001 to 2005. The Night Watchmen developed a cult fan base and stayed on the top of the alternative music charts for months on MP3.com.
Gentry went solo with the double release of his records, “Home”, and, “Tranquillo”, in 2004. Then, again another double set of record releases in 2006, “No War”, and, “Santa Fe Sky”. The single from “No War”, ‘Shine’, was released on an Alternative Music Press compilation in 2007, and the record changed the game for Gentry, paving the way for three U.S. tours and three tours in Europe.
Known as a wild, emotional charged solo performer, who also uses smashing back-up bands, his shows are filled with songs that range from soaring beauties to sweet soul-bearers to head-pounding piano punk. Always barefoot when he performs and records, after retiring his trademark fedora a few years ago, he continues to light pianos on fire around the world.
His new "mini-album" was released during his 'Graveyard Fever' tour of Europe in October & November 2009. It's now been released online at: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/GentryBronson.
"Few artists have been able to bring the type of genuine showmanship & songwriting talent to studio and stage like Gentry Bronson." - Penelope Biver, Starrider Media, Chicago.

Gentry Bronson (USA) The punk pianist with a lot of panache
