Thanks for checking out our MySpace page.
Genz-Benz was started just over 20 years ago by Jeff Genzler. Jeff still runs this amplifier shop to this day. Chances are if you call, he answers the phone.
Jeff started building bass and P.A. bins in his garage. Last name Genzler...making bins...became Genz-Bins. Well, Genz-Benz. Thats where our name came from and by the way, the "G" is hard.
With our product, we aim to make the best guitar and bass amplification and speaker enclosures available. Thats a pretty high goal considering the product already available. So, at Genz-Benz we stress innovation. We have faith in our innovation because everyone on our design team is a professional musician. More importantly, we have a tradition and philosophy of listening to our customers and acting upon their needs. We honestly feel we do this without equal in the amplification industry.
Since our design team gigs with our amps as well, the build quality has to be exemplary. And, because we want our amplifier or cabinet to be the last you'll ever need to buy, our customer support must be exceptional too; we proudly feel it is.
Our most important source of pride though comes from seeing people like you playing our product. It is truly a privilege to have the confidence of creative musicians and to be able to work with them in this arena. As a privilege, we know it has to be earned and we strive to keep earning it every day.
Shuttle 6.0 + Bergantino AE410 = Best thing ever. I've tried a LOT of bass amps through the years and nothing has stood up to me like when I first got me Shuttle 6.0, been touring and recorded with it several times. Now I need to save up for the Shuttle 12.0 ^_^
Small company, small world! I'd definitely say it works to your advantage. I mean, honestly! Where else can you post a question on an internet forum and have the guy who designed the product answer it? Haha. It's amazing!
Seeing frequent examples of that kind of service made buying my Shuttle a no-brainer.
My Shuttle 6.0-12T combo is still shockingly brilliant! It's been to several gigs since I got it, and it impresses soundguys every time. I recently brought it to a gig at Momo's (in Austin, TX, of course!), and the FOH guy was shocked at how great the DI sounded. He talked my ear off for a good 10 minutes after our set, because he had never seen such a small amp sound so huge, and wanted to know all about it. I happily sung its praises, because the Shuttle is just simply that good. Warm, articulate, clean, LOUD!
Again, guys.. Thanks for making an amazing product that MORE THAN lives up to the hype. I've said it before, but I must reiterate - The only thing I regret, is not getting one of these sooner! A micro-amp that actually delivers like the big dogs was something I thought I'd never see, but here it is! WOW!
All my best,
-Ryan Lindsay (RTL on Talkbass), Proud Shuttle 6.0 owner.
PS: You should've seen the look on the soundguy's face when I took the head out of the saddle and handed it to him. Priceless! Haha.
Oh, and to everyone who took the time to actually read this: No, I am NOT a Genz-Benz endorsee/endorser/etc.. I should be so lucky!
