James Sloan - Lead, Rhythm and Electric Guitar and ridiculous numbers of pedals
Louis Richards - Bass Guitar and mocking Sloan's attempt at backing vocals that one time when he tried
Matt Baker - Percussion, "Woo" and mocking Sloan's attempt at backing vocals that one time when he tried
Jamie Wightman - Vocals, crazy jazz prog piano and perhaps guitar if and when he wishes
Geoffrey - Experiences.

Sounds Like
What would happen if you put Jamie, Baker, Sloan and Louis in a garage with their respective instruments and lots of munchies.
****YOU CAN HEAR AND DOWNLOAD ALL OUR SONGS WE'VE RECORDED SO FAR HERE: http://geoffreysexperience.dmusic.com***
That history below is pretty long so heres a short introduction:
Essentially we're just four people that play instruments decided to do so together. We're not pretentious; we don't claim to be "like nothing you've ever heard before!" or the saviours of music, we just play music. Neither do we claim to be of any particular genre or have our own; we don't aim for a specific sound or genre, we just each make our parts and put them together.
Also we're not going to be one of these annoying bands that try and be "mysterious" or overly professional and do annoying things like put up samples of songs, or make you buy crap off us, or hide things... we welcome you to download any and all of our songs and if you want anything else from us just ask.
L'HISTORY DE L'EXPERIENCE DE GEOFFREY!
Geoffrey's Experience began after Sloan started teaching Louis how to play his shiney, new 5 STRING bass and decided a band would be nice (which it is). The name Geoffrey's Experience came from Louis' idea that Matt's other band at the time (Breaking-Point, which was also his only band at the time) should be called The Geoffreys Experience. They thought otherwise and Louis was heart-broken. However, when Sloan and Louis got together they adopted the name Geoffrey's Experience and invited Matt to join them. After initial practices at Matt's house we started practicing in Louis' garage where we had all the equipment we needed as well as munchies available down the road.
Thus, a legend was born...
BUT THEN...
Jamie was heard and enjoyed by all members of GE in the smash hit "Mr Hudson" with a small project known as The Habitual Hudsons. After extensive negotiations with Jamie including Louis sitting on his lap, chickening out, blaming it on a shoe (none of which actually happened... except the sitting on his lap. Yet again, this is an example of Sloan not wanting to do something, forcing Louis to and then getting annoyed when it's not done properly despite the fact HE won't do it! *sigh* Sorry, i get emotional about this... - Louis) and Sloan getting to the point Jamie agreed to come to a GE practice. With one fell swoop of rocking GE members' worlds with a beautiful adaptation of Scratchy and integrating it with the lyrics of "Can't Forget" (ready written by Louis) Jamie was adopted into the sexy world of GE.
Thus, a legend was reborn...
But wait! OH NO! Over the lengthy summer '07 holidays GE found themselves without a practice (that I can remember due to conflicting holidays preventing GE members from being within 100 miles of each other simultaneously and also disastrously the drum kit (or old Cap'n Bang Bang as we affectionately called the old fella) being moved (or more likely sailed in a musical ship) to another location. The only way we managed to stop from turning x.emo.hardcore.x and slitting our wrists was Baker's claim to have two drum kits and the superhuman ability to bring what was needed when needed which was all well and good, though due to the old witches' home next door this merely distracted us from the ultimate fact that we would soon have to find a new station of creation. And then it happened.
School restarted with us all in snazzy new outfits and a new sense of responsibility and GE was still akin to a barren old lady (if GE practices could be likened to ovules and their music likened to the child they would create). But the good old music department of school acted as what could only be described as a crazy form of artificial impregnation or an adoption service in this OTT analogy and let us use the ensemble room every other week on Mondays after school. LORD GEOFFREY BE PRAISED! Sure, we had to be quiet and sure, there were no munchies or garage attitude meaning Pandemonium and Dirty Little Girl somewhat lost their effect but IT WAS OUR PROVERBIAL CHILD DAMNIT!
Eventually we decided this was too quiet too so now we've had to pay for a room at some place around the Dutchy estate which we must say, is rather nice. But NEVERTHELESS, despite all that any and all suggestions for other practice areas are welcome, even if they are poorly masked crude insults such as "How about playing UP YOUR ARSE!?!?". So yeah, if anyone knows of anywhere else, share the knowledge with us.
Here are all the bands we've played with over the years:
Conspiracy (twice)
Breaking-Point
Yes, we realise that's just two bands but we loved all our gigs.We welcome all and any ideas or invites to play gigs, we do love to play!
Here are all our songs to download, just click the names to download (if clicking just streams it, then your internet sucks and you will have to go to our Dmusic account to download though it probably won't work there either):
Apologies, this isn't working at the mo as Dmusic don't seem to like hotlinking, I'll work on some other way to have awesome downloads but I'll leave in the links because they look like we know what we're doing and it was awesome for the few hours it worked; you should've been there, we could download left right and centre. It was mental. If you want to download our stuff just go here instead: http://geoffreysexperience.dmusic.com - Louis, Geoffrey of the Year (official)
(Actually, you can download 6 of our songs now as MySpace seems to have decided to stop being silly and now lets you download our songs again. And even better, 6 of them! BONANZA.)
Check out this awesome map, aparently GE is based somewhere in mainland Europe! MEGA!
