George Gelish is a musician from Huntington, NY who plays in local ensembles around the Long Island area. He has been playing music for more than 35 years. Although his main instrument is bass George plays several others; most notably slide guitar. He also sings in a strong, soulful voice that he describes as "A cross between Paul Carrack and Gregg Allman, with a Brooklyn accent."
George's current primary band is Rockslide, a Classic Rock cover band that plays Blues/Rock standards. Check out George's doings with the band at www.rockslideband.com
George is also an independent Singer/Songwriter who plays solo acoustic gigs and has two self-produced CDs, "These Two Hands" and "Don't Quit Your Day Job."
Look for a new CD release from George, "Where I Live," in Spring 2009.
