Debut 11 track solo album (first in the SV trilogy) SOUL VOLITION is now available from www.georgearnare.com
Singer/Songwriter George Arnare makes his debut in 2010 with his first solo album SOUL VOLITION. This is the first installment of a conceptual trilogy proudly recorded and released independently through FIRELIGHT RECORDS.
Self Penned and Produced the album features very special guests iOTA, Terepai Richmond, Alex Hewetson, Dave Longo, Robbie Woolf and members of Hermitude, The Zephyr Quartet and The Cafe Of The Gates of Salvation amongst others. The album was mixed by Aria Award winning Anton Hagop (Silverchair & Powderfinger), Dave Longo of The Dock Studios & John Stuart (Hermitude). It was mastered by William Bowden.
Formerly a member and soloist with Gospel A'capella choir Cafe Of The Gate Of Salvation and with Turkish Folk and Classsical Orchestra Fasil Istanbul.
George has recorded Deluxe & Paul Capsis Live with the choir and has performed extensively at various festivals in Australia such as Womadelaide and Hemispheres and venues such as Bar Me (El Rocco), Angel Place, The Basement & many others around Australia. He has also performed with Paul Capsis, Tina Harod and the late great Jackie Orszaczky.
George's father being a folk musician and playing the Persian Santoor exposed him to Classiical and folk Middle Eastern and Gypsy music. From this music he draws great vocal and emotional influence. Pop-Rock music was also always featured in the family household with KISS, ABBA & John Lennon being the very first Western musicical influences. Tears For Fears, Stevie Wonder & Prince were others.
George began writing songs naturally from the age of 8 & he hoarded the songs in a suitcase under his bed for years afraid to share them with others due to a abusive music teacher. The untimely death of a talented and encouraging friend and the birth of his niece made him realise that time is limited and childhood fears can sabotage the greatest of worthy desires. So to combat the past and present 'dragons of fear' SOUL VOLITION came into being as a collection of songs grouped together to serve this purpose.
Through the songs George hopes to inspire himself and others in self expression and self assistence in overcoming personal or socially imposed limitations.

Hi George, It was great seeing you at Convocation... thanks again for the notes & cool pics. It was awesome to be there, as always... How's it going on the dulcimer? A friend got a little violin pickup for her dulcimer (made by a company called 'Cherub' I think) for about 12 bucks and it works great. You might check that out. Hey, thanks for the kind words about Steal Away Home...it was definitely a labor of love. Those old songs are so powerful... We'll talk soon. Peace & Joy from here - Joni
