Hi, and welcome to my site! I hope you enjoy the music.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I grew up in a crazy Greek household in Johannesburg, South Africa, after my parents moved there in the 60's. My first love of music was born way back when my brother introduced me to Adam and the Ants- and they blew my eight year old mind! I loved the fact that they had two drummers. Rhythm is such an important part of music for me. I feel in a lot of music melody is born out of rhythm.
I completed my Bachelor of Music in Composition at Wits University in Johannesburg, South Africa. I subsequently studied at Mountview Theatre School in North London, and upon graduating I worked in the hit musicals FAME and SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. I performed in London's West End, the Far East, South Africa, and toured UK number 1 Venues. What an amazing experience it was to work in theatre and tread the boards. Its a great training ground, and works the creative juices in a disciplined environment. Each theatre has such an amazing energy; each one with a story to tell. Among the many things that fascinate me about the UK, is the sense of rich culture and history.
About 5 years ago I decided i wanted to concentrate on my songwriting. Since then I have been performing at various gigs/ singer songwriter evenings, writing, learning Pro Tools software, and producing my debut album Butterflies, that I released on my own label Tinkerbox Records.
Ciao for now beautiful people, enjoy the music.
On this myspace EP William Wolfe Hogan (www.myspace.com/williamwolfehogan) performed and arranged the Violin and bass on Naked. Chris Willcock and Mike Simpkins produced Move Along, with Marco Baptista playing the bass.
