Hi all
I'm a guitar player living in DETROIT originally from Marquette Mi. Lived for many years in Los Angeles. I have played with all sorts of diverse groups like The Sun Messengers, Thornetta Davis, Twistin' Tarantulas, Robert Gordon, Janiva Magness. Have one CD entitled "Looka Here" on BluesLeaf records outta New Jersey, and my first self release from way back (1999?) called "Senor Smoke" Black Beauty.
I like to work in different styles like blues,soul,rockabilly,r&b and jazz. I prefer some of the left-of-center artists in these styles and have studied/listened to most of the music created in the 20th century. I love rock music...all kinds and dig cuban,reggae,etc.
Currently I teach a lot of guitar, and record and produce. I play gigs when I can and have been performing with Lisa Finnie, Taryn Donath, Brohondo, Pete Fahey, J.T. Ross and others. UPDATE: living back in the D and playing with the TWISTIN' TARANTULAS!!! also Thornetta Davis, E and G, and once in a while Black Beauty. Life is great...I'll start a studio page soon so you all can see what I've been building here.
