    george's Interests
GeneralIndoors I enjoy a movie or play, sitting on a bench at the art museum soaking in someone's artistic creation, parties and socializing. Trying a new restaurant with a group of friends.

Outdoors things like biking, rollerblading, kayaking, music festivals, and exploring incredible cities. I love to travel to new cities and countries where I have to learn a new language, abide by different customs, and figure out fake looking money! Appreciating a sunset out on the end of the dock, dancing to great live music where everyone is enjoying thenselves, frisbee with my dog on a beautiful sunny day...

I try to pursue life to the fullest and think of myself as an energetic, happy, and open-minded individual. I also have a hedonist side to me, enjoying the finer things in life such as a distant vacation or a weekend at a bed and breakfast on the beach. I spend my time with my family, my friends, and doing a number of indoor and outdoor activities. I enjoy photography, museums, biking, boating, hiking, traveling, reading, live music, good restaurants and a more.

Currently I am juggling three careers, Residency at Tulane is by far my biggest time commitment. I am just finishing up a long residency with a focus on Tropical Medicine. Ideally my time at Tulane will have been the best residency choice to prepare me for my careen, but due to Hurricane Katrina and the resulting chaos, I doubt it. So while I submit my applications to the CDC and the WHO I will continue to explore destinations within the Tropics and expand my knowledge of tropical diseases.

I also try to maintain a career as an artist and continue exhibiting and finding homes for my photos in collections and museums. The second set of photos on this page are images from last year.

My third career is in urban revitalization, which requires visiting and appreciating the world's greatest cities. As my contribution I try to live in and support these areas and have been designing and renovating Green houses at the fringes of these historic zones in Albuquerque, Silver City and now in New Orleans. Some photos of the completed projects are on this page. The next stop will be?????

"The real price of everything, what everything really costs to the man who wants to acquire it, is the toil and trouble of acquiring it. What everything is really worth to the man who has acquired it, and who wants to dispose of it or exchange it for something else, is the toil and trouble which it can save to himself, and which it can impose upon other people. What is bought with money or with goods is purchased by labour as much as what we acquire by the toil of our own body. That money or those goods indeed save us this toil." Adam Smith
