I've been doing this music thing for a while now. For most of that time I called myself Ham Steak. For about five years I was also a member of a band called Stringbean. Ham Steak released two 7" EPs on the Elephi Pelephi label, a full length CD on Italy's Runt label, three self released CDs (including "Jesus Loves Cheeses" which I plan to re-release), another full length CD on Serendipity Do Da, a split 7" with M.O.T.O. , a split 7" with Hospital, three cassette EPs, and had tracks on about twenty different compilations. Stringbean released two 7" singles and was on about eight or ten different compilations. Stringbean played shows all over the East Coast. I've only played solo in NYC and the Northeast, and a single show out in Seattle. -----------------I sing and play electric and acoustic guitar. Sometimes I just beat the hell out of the guitar. I have a new record almost ready to release. I'm hoping to find a label that's interested in putting it out, but I'll most likely just save up and do this one myself. It's been too much fun to let it sit idle. ---------------------------Some of the new songs will find their way into George Hakkila live shows. There will also be some all electric guitar shows. But nothing is set in stone. I do what I want, when I want.
