George Romano was born in New York City, and began his love affair with music at an early age. The energy and accessibility of all types of music in the big city helped craft his singing, songwriting and guitar stylings to full potential. After playing all the usual haunts in the big apple, Romano wanted to expand his horizons and headed west where he found his new home-Los Angeles. Romano soloed around Hollywood looking for the right musicians to make his notebooks of songs come to life and help captivate audiences in and around Los Angeles, California.
George's stellar live shows offer performances backed by one of the hottest ensembles in L.A. which include: the hard-hitting Scotty Kormos on drums, smooth Chuck Lindo on bass and keyboardist extraordinaire Terry Drake, along with a host of soulful angels doing background vocals. George also does a few rare shows either aucustically or with a piano and percussion, just to change it up a bit, either way the audience always leaves wanting more!
George wants everyone to know that he is first and foremost a fan of music, before anything else. He strives to give his audience the same kind of energy and connection he himself experiences while listening to bands he is fond of like the Beatles, Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, and U2 to name just a few.
When asked who his music compares to, his response is always a quick "Come see me play, and judge for yourself!" which brings us to his favorite old Elvis Costello quote "Talking about music is like dancing about Architecture."
Armed with an amazing blend of soul, blues, rock, funk, in addition to great song writing, Romano and his band have been currently playing a few select live shows while trying to decide on which of his many songs to include on a future album release tentatively titled "Insatiable Desires." After which, Romano is finally ready to hit the road and show the rest of the country what the L.A. music scene has been blessed with this past year and as anyone who has seen his amazing live performance will attest that is quite a lot!
