Compositeur français installé au Québec, Georges Forget a commencé sa formation auprès de Christian Eloy au Conservatoire de Bordeaux dans la plus pure tradition acousmatique. Il a ensuite évolué, durant sa maîtrise avec Robert Normandeau, vers une approche plus mélodique de l’électroacoustique. Compositeur polyvalent, son travail accompagne également différentes formes d’expression comme le théâtre, la vidéo d’art ou le documentaire ; à cet égard, on a pu entendre son travail dans différents projets en Europe comme en Amérique du nord..... Son travail a été récompensé lors des concours Jeu de Temps / Times Play 2007, Música Viva 2003 et 2007 ainsi qu'au 35e concours de Bourges en 2008 dans la catégorie "Résidence". ....Présentement au doctorat en composition sous la direction d’Isabelle Panneton et de Jean Piché, Georges Forget continue de privilégier l’utilisation du motif mélodique comme élément fondateur de l’unité et de la lisibilité formelle de l’oeuvre ; son projet de musique mixte consiste en outre à développer des dispositifs permettant une plus grande ‘sensibilité’ dans les échanges musicaux entre machine et musicien. During his Masters, with Robert Normandeau at the faculty of music of the Université de Montréal, he evolved towards a more melodic approach to electroacoustics. A multi-talented composer, his work can be heard in a number of theatre, video and documentary film projects in Europe as well as in North America. ....Georges Forget is a recipient of the Québec Societal and Cultural Research Fund and some of his compositions have been rewarded in international events (Música Viva 2002, JTTP 2007, Música Viva 2007, Bourges "Residence laureate" 2008). ....Presently working towards his Doctorate under the direction of Isabelle Panneton and Jean Piché, still at the Université de Montréal, Georges Forget continues to explore the use of melodic motives as the foundational element of the unity and formal perceptability of the work. His interdisciplinary project involves developing tools which allow for greater “sensitivity” in the exchanges between machine and musician. -

Una ola de diversidad sonora contemporánea llega a Buenos Aires nuevamente
Del 20 al 25 de octubre en el Centro Cultural Recoleta de la ciudad de Buenos Aires tendrá lugar una muestra de las más diversas expresiones sonoras de la escena contemporánea en la 2ª edición del Encuentro Internacional de Arte Sonoro Tsonami Buenos Aires 2009
8 conciertos, performances, obras multimedia y una exposición permanente de Instalaciones Sonoras, convergiendo así trabajos de artistas Nacionales e Internacionales de diversas estéticas y trayectorias que toman el trabajo del sonido como eje principal.
El Encuentro de Arte Sonoro TSONAMI es una plataforma Independiente, de difusión del trabajo de artistas Latinoamericanos y de intercambio con producciones del resto del mundo vinculadas a las Artes Sonoras. TSONAMI es además un punto de encuentro transdisciplinario en torno al arte contemporáneo y la temática del sonido.
