About me:

June 3rd, 2009

The rumors are true. The 2009 Georgetown Music Fest is combining with Georgetown’s other homegrown carnival, “Artopia” to present a double headed beast of art and music on June 27th. By combining these 2 events, festival patrons will be able to enjoy creations from some of the area’s best underground artists along with the sounds of some of the Northwest’s up and coming musical talent. Check out the lineup on our myspace page.

Best of all this year's festival will be free. Yes, free.

In 2009 we are proud to feature:
SHIM / The Hands / The Quit / Redwood Plan / This Blinding Light / M.Bison / The Oregon Donor / Hallways / H is for Hellgate / Levator / Lucy Bland / Spanish for 100 / The Globes / Danny's House / Prize Country / Ivory in Ice World / Zack Stokes Knows Scholarly Gentleman / Black Whales / Branden Daniels & Everybody Gets Laid / We Wrote the Book on Connectors

_______________________________________

The Georgetown Music Fest was conceived in 2005 when two music lovers decided to showcase some of the best indie rock music in the region in festival form. Four years and three festivals later, the GMF has emerged as a player in the regional festival scene, with bands coming from as far as Portland, Boise, Spokane, and Vancouver, BC to rock Georgetown.

This two day festival has been mentioned as:
"The most important music festival of the summer.." - The Seattle Weekly.

"...pure local fire.." - The Seattle Times

"I thought the Georgetown Music Fest was by far the best festival I saw this summer" - Northwest Music Blog
