Austrian Guitar Player Gerald Gradwohl grew up with Rock and Hardrock Music and changed his style when he began to study Jazzguitar at the Conservatory Vienna, where he obtained first-class honours. But Rock music is still in his heart!
Not only Austrian Stars from Rock and Pop to Jazz hire him for studio or live Gigs-but also international Greats like the famous several time grammy-nominated pioneers of instrumental music TANGERINE DREAM enjoy his guitar work extraordinaire.
You can listen to his work with Tangerine Dream on the records "Tyranny of Beauty", "Goblin's Club" and the live recording "Rocking Mars".

Besides these sidemen jobs he teaches Jazz and electric guitar at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory Eisenstadt/Austria, and records and produces with his own projects like THREEO. This band recorded 3 cds in the nineties:

This CD was recorded live during the European Tour 1996 and features Bob Berg(Chick Corea, Mike Stern...), who is one of the real great tenor sax players of this century.
This dynamic and virtuoso record became best Jazz album 1998 in Austria.
With THREEO G.Gradwohl played Festivals and Clubs all over the world(Montreal, London, Wiesen, Leverkusen,....).
2000 he received an award from the Austrian Government concerning his works in instrumental music.
His newest project named "the powergrade" features his funky guitar playing and contains
rock and technobeats as well-the Cd was released in June 2001 and gets great international critics!
2002 he played one of the most important Jazzfestivals in Europe(Jazzfest Wiesen) with this project and toured through Austria and Germany.
Due to his continuous work, he is often mentioned as a great player like Frank Gambale and Scott Henderson!
In November 2002 G.G. records his latest Cd in Santa Fe/USA with some of
his favourite musicians: Bob Berg, Gary Willis and Kirk Covington-
release in Fall 2003 on Universal music!
The CD gets great critics internationally... Austrian tour with Kirk Covington(Tribal Tech) on drums in fall 2003.

Das war ein geniales Konzert gestern, da gab's absolut nix zu MOSERn, bis auf "Wenn da Herrgott net wui" und die Nummer war eine der absoluten Highlights! Wiadakeema, wean scho mea Leid next's moi. Und bitte auch den Herren an Schlagzeug und Bass in meinem Namen Anerkennung in schärfster Form aussprechen! Die beiden Kunden fetzen wie Sau!
