"In a world that replaces small, medium and large with tall, grande and venti, anything goes." -A quote from yours truly.

"Can you imagine your life without music? Think about it. Pretend it's true. What does it feel like? And not just no headphones on your ears attached to some music player. I mean, no music at all. When you watch a movie. When you watch a television program. When you go to church. When you go to a bar. When you're in an elevator. When you're in your car. At your desk at work. Over family dinner at home. At a wedding. Or perhaps at the funeral of the biggest would-be fan of music who happened to be one of your best friends. Can you imagine? It would be as senseless as life without sight, wouldn't it?"

A Picture Painted With Passion - "Before crossing that one river, there's a picture in specific I wish to paint. A picture for the world to see. It's something I handle with passion. It's something I handle with care. All because it's based on a vision I had a while back, during a long moment of solitude, that to me, was very inspiring. Yes, without question. It was moving. When painted, this picture, to me, is the kind that'll make people stop, turn around, look at life, and say "what have we done to the world?" When I think about it, it sure makes me say so. You see, this vision, this picture, well, it paints a story that, though somewhat ordinary and simple, and common to most, may just turn out to be the saddest happiest story of all (or so it plays in my head). It's one that hints no happy endings, but it's one where you'll be so engulfed by the vision, that "tears of joy" will undeniably fill your eyes. Those who witness it will most likely be illuminated. Filled. With an opportunity to see clearly for a moment, and decide on making change. Some might say, that in a world such as ours, a picture like this doesn't belong anymore. But I say, in a world such as ours, it's where it matters the most. Someday you'll see. It's my Rosebud." ©1994 Gerardo Betancourt. All Rights Reserved.
