As of August 2003 Gert is member of the band HIGHWAY
CHILE. HC operated between 1980 - 1985 and released several popular records such as Storybook Heroes (1983) and
Fever (1984). In those years they toured a lot and they shared the stage with big acts like Motörhead, Whitesnake, Michael Schenker, Accept and Y&T. One of the closest fans of HC was Alfred Lagarde (R.I.P), a famous DJ, who also produced the record Storybook Heroes. HC was together with Picture, Helloïse,
Bodine, Vengeance and Vandenberg at the top of the national heavy rock scene in the eighties.
In 2002 the band toured all over Holland again and made a live-recording which is now for sale with the appropriate title"On the road again". On this cd you can hear the voice of Robert Soeterboek (a.o. Ayreon, Wicked Sensation) and the guitarsound of Attila Szabo (Blind Justice). The reactions on this tour were so overwhelming that the band decided
to go on and to work on new songs. A brand new full lenght STUDIO ALBUM called KEEPER OF THE EARTH has been released through MAUSOLEUM records in the EU and will be released later this year in the US!

September 2006 a new sensational Hardrock coverband is born and is referred to by the name of HEADS DOWN. This Rockcoverband plays all those classics from the 70s and 80s from last century and gathered a pretty decend following in it's early stage of existance! Think Van Halen, Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Rainbow, UFO, Bon Jovi... and te list goes on!
