| | Music | Just about anything except for a lot of country and rap. I listen to some old jazz, Billie Holiday, classical, opera, alternative, some hard rock, Oldies, Frank Sinatra, Weird Al Yankovic, Bobby Darin, Simon and Garfunkel, and whatever else happens to cross my path. But I'm really bad with song titles and artists' names so don't expect me to be any more specific than that.

Emily's Blurbs |
About me:
The online name that I tend to go by is "Sophist". I'm female, 26, and am a late-diagnosed aspie (age 25).
A senior in undergraduate, I'm about to receive my BA in Psychology (December, 2008). I will be going on to graduate school for a Ph.D. in Neurobiology in which I intend to research the neurobiology of the autistic spectrum, particularly minicolumnar development throughout the lifespan, as well as the evolutionary encephalization of the human cortex. Aside from my interest in the neurosciences and medicine, I'm also involved/interested in art (including drawing, painting, and digital photography), British Comedy series, and poetry.
I also tend to spend a lot of time on the computer (yay, nerds). I own and help run an autism-related discussion forum called Gestalt. It's a forum for people on the Autism Spectrum, their family and friends, and basically anyone interested in ASCs.

I'm also involved in the AASPIRE and ASAN organizations. Check 'em out:
Academic Autistic Parternship in Research and Education (AASPIRE)
Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN)
And here are some of my favorite autism-related sites not already mentioned:
* autistics.org
* neurodiversity.com
* AWARES Conference
* The Autism Acceptance Project (TAAP)
* The Global and Regional Asperger Syndrome Partnership
* The Autism Research Centre at Cambridge
