About me:

Get Loose Promotions was started by myself Paul McJimpsey (jlo) a few years back as a side project while studying at college. This side project lead me to a full time job within the venue at Capitol, which I left in October 2008. I felt it was time to move on and try and build up the Get Loose Promotions name.

Over the last few years I have had the great pleasure to put on nights at venues such as ABC2, Captains Rest, Capitol, Maggie Mays, The Admiral, Firewater and various others. Many these nights were in conjuction with 32 Music, which is a partnership that I continue to develop.

I was also heavily involved in running/selecting bands for the 1800 capacity Scooter Tent at the 2008 Wickerman Festival, which has seen acts such as The Zutons, Sandi Thom and The Fun Loving Criminals headline the event.

I also currently scout for WHAT IF MUSIC/Sony Publishing, which has recently taken on Glasgow based act The Boycotts on to their roster.

Now based in Camden, I am currently booking various slots for Dublin Castle in London and have other venues within London in the pipeline.

In 2009 I have been involved in selecting bands to play at The Wickerman Festival, Stereofunk Festival as well as The Homecoming Festival.
