L’idea di formare una tribute band Genesis è nata dalla incontenibile passione di Dario D’Amore e Gianfranco Oliveri (allora chitarrista e bassista di una tribute band Toto) per la musica da loro indubbiamente più amata: quella dei Genesis del periodo d’oro del progressive rock. Una musica intensa e raffinata con testi di storie fantastiche e spesso surreali e caratterizzata dalla istrionica teatralità di Peter Gabriel che, con i suoi travestimenti, aveva infiammato le platee di tutto il mondo tra il 1970 ed il 1976.
Una passione così intensa da spingere Dario a “scellerati” studi di pianoforte ed a proporsi dopo meno di un anno come tastierista di una “ipotetica” Tribute band.
A dare concretezza alla band sono stati dapprima Gianluca, fratello di Gianfranco, raffinato e virtuoso chitarrista nei “Moon of Steel” (una band metal con acquisite esperienze discografiche), anche lui votato alla passione Genesiana, e Renato Giacomelli, irriducibile amante del progressive, virtuoso della batteria, musicista di grande esperienza e militante già da tempo nei “Think Pop” (altra raffinata band prog).
La comparsa quasi fortuita del pavese Matteo Callegari, già voce dei PGTime (Peter Gabriel Tribute band), con la sua voce straordinariamente Gabrieliana ed “insperatamente” flautista, completa un quintetto dal sapore squisitamente Genesis.
Nascono così nel 2005 i “Get’em out!”, un gruppo di cinque musicisti dell'area milanese, uniti dalla comune passione verso i Genesis ed il Progressive rock. Il loro progetto è nitidamente delineato: ricreare con la massima cura quelle sonorità e quelle magiche atmosfere che hanno fatto dei Genesis dell’era Gabriel una delle più brillanti stelle del firmamento progressive.
Per raggiungere questo ambizioso obiettivo si sono analizzate, riscritte e studiate con la massima meticolosità tutte le parti strumentali, sono stati utilizzati diversi strumenti vintage come la chitarra doppio manico e il sitar, i suoni unici del Mellotron e dell'ARP prosoloist ed altri strumenti quali il Bass pedal, il flauto traverso e le chitarre 12 corde.
Nel 2007 i Get’em out debuttano al “Capolinea live” di Cusago con un repertorio incentrato su alcuni tra i brani più famosi del periodo 1970-1975 e con un pubblico insperatamente numeroso ed entusiasta.
Dopo i concerti al Back Hole (Milano) e allo SpazioMusica (Pavia), il loro nome compare in una lusinghiera recensione di Davide Castellini su Dusk, la fanzine italiana dei Genesis. Nel giugno 2008, a meno di un anno dal loro debutto, una loro incisione promozionale arriva nelle mani del direttore artistico del Blue Note di Milano, uno dei più importanti locali di musica live di Milano e ritenuto il tempio del jazz, che li invita a suonare nel settembre 2008.
Oggi i Get’em out hanno messo a punto un repertorio che include quasi tutti i più importanti lavori dei Genesis del periodo d’oro, tra cui spiccano capolavori come The Musical Box, Supper’s Ready, Firth of Fifth, The Cinema Show.
Con le loro performances, i Get’em out sono pronti ad accompagnare il loro pubblico verso emozioni ormai dimenticate (o forse soltanto assopite?) dando la sensazione ….. di tornare indietro nel tempo.

The idea of forming a Genesis tribute band was founded by the irrepressible passion for Dario D'Amore and Gianfranco Oliveri (at that time guitarist and bassist of a tribute band Toto) for the music they most certainly loved: that of Genesis of the golden age of progressive rock.
An intense and sophisticated music with lyrics of fantastic and often surreal stories, characterized by histrionic theatricality of Peter Gabriel who, with his disguises, had inflamed audiences around the world between 1970 and 1976.
A passion so intense to push Dario toward "wicked" piano studies and to propose himself after less than a year as keyboard player for an "hypothetical" Tribute band.
Concreteness to the band was given by Gianluca at first, Gianfranco’s brother, refined and virtuoso guitarist of "Moon of Steel" (a metal band with acquired recording experience), he also devoted to Genesis passion, and Renato Giacomelli, lover irreducible of progressive rock, virtuoso drummer, musician of great experience and militant since long time with "Think Pop" (another refined prog band).
The almost accidental appearance of Matteo Callegari, from Pavia, lead vocalist of PGTime (Peter Gabriel tribute band), with his extraordinarily Gabrielian voice and "unhoped-for" flautist, completes a quintet with an exquisitely Genesis taste.
So in 2005 the “Get’em out!” were born. A group of five musicians from the Milan area, united by their common passion for the Genesis and the Progressive rock. Their project is clearly outlined: to recreate with the utmost care those sounds and magical atmosphere that made the Genesis of the Gabriel era one of the brightest stars in the firmament progressive.
To achieve this ambitious goal all instrumental scores has been rewritten and studied with great meticulousness; several vintage instruments such as double-neck guitar and electric sitar, along with the unique sounds of Mellotron and ARP prosoloist and other instruments such as the bass pedal, the flute and 12 strings guitars have been used.
In 2007 the Get'em out debut at the "Capolinea live" in Cusago (Milan) with a repertoire focused on some of the most famous passages of the period 1970-1975 and with a large and enthusiastic public.
After the Back Hole (Milan) and SpazioMusica (Pavia) concerts, their name appears in a flattering review of Davide Castellini on Dusk, the italian Genesis fanzine. In June 2008, less than a year after their debut, their “demo” reaches the artistic director of the “Blue Notes” in Milan, one of the most important music live site in Milan and considered the temple of jazz, who invites them to play in September 2008.
Get'em out today have developed a repertoire that includes almost all important work of Genesis of the “Gabriel golden age”, including stand out masterpieces such as The Musical Box, Supper's Ready, Firth of Fifth, The Cinema Show.
With their performances, the Get'em out are ready to accompany their public toward forgotten emotions (or maybe only assopite?) Giving the impression ... .. to go back in time.
