   About Get Help
Get Help is a songwriting project that began as an exchange of ideas via email and evolved into a blog, a band, and an album. Based on the foundations of punctuality, sensible land investment, and community outreach, Get Help is here for you. And ourselves.

Some kind words about our album, The End of the New Country, from National Public Radio:

"A self-proclaimed 'supergroup of unknown musicians,' Get Help makes gloomy but thoughtful guitar-rock that would fit comfortably in the post-punk era of the late '70s and early '80s. Get Help's two primary members, Tony Skalicky and Mike Ingenthron, were in elementary school when bands like Joy Division were making music. But on their new CD, The End of the New Country, the duo cribs from post-punk with enough honesty and talent to keep from sounding like a cheap knock-off.

Despite its darkness, The End of the New Country isn't a downer, though it's undeniably brooding and introspective. But there's enough inspired beauty in the lyrics — and consistently impressive guitar work — to make the music uplifting at times."
— Robin Hilton, National Public Radio (read the whole review here.)

You can buy our album from Midriff Records in either CD or MP3 format.

Downloaded your album from CD Baby today! By the way, thanks for dropping it there, cause it's the only way I can get it at the moment.
Anyway, all the new takes of the songs that I've been knowing for a quite long time now, sound GREAT!
Congratulations with the awesome debut!
