I'd like to start by saying thank you for checking out my site. There are a lot of things day to day that fight for your attention and the fact that you are reading this tells me you have willfully chosen to give a bit of your time to get to know me, for that I am grateful.
I am not big on talking about myself to say how good I am or what I sound like so I have taken a different approach. I am very lucky to have been surrounded by so many genuinely good people throughout my life. A little while back a flier was sent out asking people what they thought about my music and how it has made them feel. Below is a collection of media write ups and responses from the people who were kind enough to say some really great things about how the music makes them feel.
Here is what people are saying:
"A laid-back blend of hip-hop, folk and pop that puts him in close company with the likes of Ben Harper, Jack Johnson and Jason Mraz. He sings, raps, scats and beat-boxes atop "groove oriented" story songs, built around an acoustic guitar."
"Street performers are a Short North Gallery Hop staple. Not many will be quitting their day jobs, but only a few are really good. Alex White probably won't be performing on the sidewalk in front of Rowe Boutique (718 N High St.) for long. He's become a gallery hop staple, performing his own folk/funk/reggae-inspired music, drawing a big enough crowd to divert foot traffic to the street."
More to be posted soon...
Thank you,
