We are officially partners with the American Cancer Society!!!!
Everyone spread the word!! we want to raise as much money as we can!!
We are still in the baby stages of our organization, but so far, I think everything is going great!! We had our first events in November and December of 08. We'd like to make this an annual event!! We've teamed up with Wicked Ways Tattoo studio for our events. During these events you pay a particular amount for a tattoo, and the proceeds are donated directly to the American Cancer Society!! Last year we raised about $1750.00! not bad for our first try! We had a few kinks, but I think that will just help us in the long run!
We are still working on becoming 501(c)3, which simply means, any money we raise, we don't have to pay taxes on and donations will be tax deductible. Fingers crossed, we should hear something any day now. Right now, donations are tax deductible via the ACS.
We are involved in the community and have participated in the Brenda Ladun Conquer Cancer Run, Relay for Life, and will be involved with ACS' Black Out Party in June.
