What is Get Involved?

Get Involved is a monthly clubnight in London and it's a whole heap of fun. Each month, host Gav (aka G the P) asks everyone present to quite literally get involved in the most amount of musical mayhem they can possibly muster - as tambourines, maracas and various other musical instruments are dished out and enthusiastically bashed to an undeniably infectious soundtrack of rock'n'roll, 60s garage and soul, courtesy of the Get Involved DJs.

But wait, there's more ways to get people involved: A different illustrator or designer is approached to produce the promotional poster for each event, meaning the night has amassed a legacy of lovingly designed promotional material, including posters, badges and stickers, by some of the coolest, most in-demand image-makers working today. So far contributors include James Joyce (One Fine Day), Richard Hogg (airside), typographer Nils Leonard, Natasha Shah, Jeremyville, Roo Walton, Peskimo, Ali Graham, Ian Stevenson, Anthony Burrill, Intercity and Jon Burgerman.

GET INVOLVED VINYL TOY!
Meet Hobson. Hobson is a trumpet-nosed dino-monster that's mad for as much musical mayhem as he can muster. He ALWAYS carries at least one maraca and can sometimes be seen brandishing a tambourine. His favourite club is Get Involved!
And friends of Get Involved may well recognise Hobson – because he was originally conceived to adorn the Get Involved poster that monster-loving design duo Peskimo created back in 2006.
Hobson is one of a series of 16 ultra-cute, 3-inch vinyl toys – many with articulated grabby parts and friends like bunnies, blobs or pieces of toast – all designed by Peskimo that form the BambooZoo series of mini toys – just unleashed by Kidrobot.
