How the band was started, was a long time ago. You´ll need some historical background. Görg started playing the drums (just for having a bit of fun) at the age of eight. So then he got interested in music, Punk Rock Music. Which he fells in love with. He felt the temptation of playing with other kids in a band.
So one day, he stood there on the bus-stop talking to Je-an about a Hardcore band. They got friends very quickly and so it came that Görg asked him about starting a band, and if Je-an was interested in. Yeah, sure he was.
That´s how we started the band. From this tim on Je-an was the singer (and after a while e started to play guitar). It took us some time to find guys to play with, but we found them. It puts a smile on our faces when we think back to the beginning of it, the guys we played with really make us laugh now. But we can´t say that this band was actually Get Rid Off, it was more than like starting, searching for people to play with.
We played with many kids and friends. After about two years of trying out, this band was born. It was exactly on 12/27/2004! The day of that horrible Tsunami. Görg can remember well, he didn´t get enough sleep that night (tried to sleep in the bath). We made a lot of experiences during the years, lost friends, lost members, and got Bussi and Ö-rtsch to play with. We don´t know what to write about that band´s period. On the one hand it was a great time, and on the other one it was hard for everyone. There happened a lot, there happened nothing!
Now the band is better than we ever have dreamed of. This words explain everything.
