Why fix it if it's not broken? That's the conclusion the five members of SWAY came to when they decided to brainstorm new material for their second album. After receiving favorable reviews from their first cd, Still..., the guys decided to stick to the formula that made their first album a success: MAKE GOOD MUSIC THAT EMPHASIZES THE BAND'S UNIQUE VOCALS AND CAPTIVATING LYRICS. So what makes these guys different from every other undiscovered band out there? "Versatility in the music," Tim Stolkey (vocals, guitar, keys) says. "Variety is what makes us appeal to such a large group of people. We don't just have one sound." And it seems to be working. Their sophomore release entitled "Moments Of Bliss" was released on February of 2008 and has already sold more copies than its predecessor, while the album’s first single “Two Candles” is receiving airplay on 106.5 The Zone in Toledo, OH and Detroit’s 89X.
Performing together since 2003, the band has made their way around the metro Detroit area and SWAY has already become a household name in Ann Arbor. For the immediate future the task is clear: it’s time to take the music to the fans outside of Southeast Michigan. A few local shows in the winter/spring followed by a full Midwest promotional tour this summer is in store for fans ready to embrace an act that is at the beginning of what promises to be a successful career. The band continues to improve through each performance and each song they write, and that is the key to continuing to make good music Tim says. “Constant improvement is what keeps us inspired to keep writing and it shows no signs of slowing down. Music isn’t a choice; it’s just something that we do. We’re a little bit along for the ride, but mostly consumed by it.” While the band continues to evolve musically and settle in for that ride, the good news is there’s plenty of room on board for everyone to come along.
What up Sway!! Thanks for having us out last night....we had an absolute blast and you guys totally rocked it. Love to play another show together again soon. Danni

You guys are a really good band. Good enough for national radio play - radio would be stupid not to play your material. It was nice to share a gig with you - maybe someday we will be able to say that we knew you before you got big...LOL..Sorry we started to load out during your set but we had to go because we had to get up very early Sunday. Best of luck to you all. Oh yeah, check out Bell's Brewerey, Papa Pete's, Boomerang's, and Cruiser's Pub for places to play in Kzoo. Check out Juke's in Grand Rapids. If you ever need a band to play with let us know - here or Ann Arbor - we like to get out of town once in a while.
