Below, in the twitter feeds, everyday you can find a new link to my songs.
I added a few pictures from my first ever live gig with “getting up every morning” at Kaffee Burger in Berlin. I didn’t play all of the 103 songs – for various reasons – but played over two thirds of my material. I hope to find the time to make a little video from the gig and put it up here soon. From my website: In early 2007 I wasn’t doing too well and in order to find a way to hold myself together I started writing one song every night and posted it on my site. Shortly afterwards I also opened this myspace page, since I didn’t want to be alone yet didn’t want to share myself with anybody I knew personally. Starting on February the 12th, I wrote 103 songs altogether. I like all the songs, from the very first one to the very last. I am mildly embarrassed by my voice on a few of them, but hey. And even though I really don’t remember how to play most of them, the lyrics I remember all too well.
“I am getting up every morning. And so are you.”
This was the opening line I had in my head if I would ever do a live performance of my material. It never happened. Or it hasn’t happened so far – you never know. Some people asked me to release the songs on a CD – but I wonder why, since they are here already. Some people asked me to perform live – but as much as I love these songs, I almost love them too much to perform them. One thing I did do was wrapping all the songs into one ZIP file for people to download on my site (including track numbers and cover pictures for most of the songs). By the way – while you are at it: I am happy to hear from you, please feel free to comment on the songs.
hello there, friend! i see you've been busy playing shows and whatnot. :)
just dropping by to say hello! :) no new poems lately, but i am eagerly awaiting the arrival in the mail of the instrument of my latest artistic project.
Hello friend, 'pressing buttons only' is another of your songs that stays with me, and very cool pic. by the way. always getting me from down to high, so thank you. Copenhagen sun - Hegemonial Son.
Just dropping by to say hi, it's nice to see some new songs up there. Every now and again I call in to get away from it all and treat myself to some of your sweet, honest music. Hope the bronchitis clears soon, Seeya, Andy : )
goodness me!! i like it! :) i do! :) thank you! I didn't know you had been working on it :) Happy Birthday to me! :) :) :) I think it is awesome :) :) I like the way you pieced it together :)
thank you my friend! :) that comment must have the largest number of smilee faces possible :)
I can see your last loggin was yesterday. I just got home from a loooong trip. Sleeping in a tent is not much fun in the rain, but we had sunny days as well :-)
hello friend :) here i was feeling guilty for not stopping by to check out your page more often this past month, and here i've found you've been on a break :) so are you back now? i listened to the new song. maybe not new though, because i might not have seen it when you put it up. but... exciting! almost at 100 songs eh? that, my friend is an accomplishment. take care!
Hei GUEM ! So nice to see u´r on a trip :o) Me to will be offline for a while, I will shuttle back and forth to an old yellow house to make recordings :o) see ya, ain´t gonna be hea.. Torgunn :o)
You know what's annoying? our internet has been acting slow the past few days and I've been trying to listen to the tracks I haven't heard yet.
and today, I finally got We Just Pretend to play... but only the first 19 seconds of the track. then our internet won't play anything else.
anyways, I THINK I like it :P haha.. I certainly am intrigued by the first 19 seconds of it... sort of different from what I've heard before. There was a lot of energy in it :) It started playing and I was excited! ....but then...
lol... anyways, take care, friend.. I shall keep checking until our internet connection improves and I can actually hear whole songs. :)
The new tracks are just beautiful. I'm just so pleased I've had the opportunity to write with you.
"What a Spider Can" is very funny.
I think it's getting to the point whereby I need to put together an album of my favourite favourites so I can hear the sounds of Getting Up Every Morning wherever I go.
hei!
Been watching your very fine website, and listening to many of your songs..and I liked your voice specially on the track "take it, I hate it anyway".
Today I´m adding tracks on www.indiestore.com, so I can get payed..and more...and you should too!
Hello! :) I like Is It My Choice :) -- the vocal rhythm to me seems different from your other ones that I've heard so far -- a little more complex. Hope things are going well with your music projects! I've been trying to get back into the habit of writing poems myself. It's a bit tricky though. I'v been too excited about my new job!
