“GETVEGAS leave heavy grooves and vibes, with songs in your mind and soul, not easily erased. That's for sure!” Few young bands have embraced early R&B and Soul as fully as Get Vegas. This band is a godsend for music fans that are tired of hearing the same style that is currently bombarding the airwaves. Get Vegas represent the meaning of Soul, music that is filled with immense warmth and passion
“These guys are very, very, damn good” - All Access Magazine. It’s not very often that a band comes along with a sound and energy like this. Their youthful exuberance, which is portrayed in their live performance, is equally parallel by their professionalism and love of music. The band being heavily influenced by a wide spectrum of music, including Otis Reading, Tom Waits, Feeder and Counting Crows, utilize this inspiration to create a genre that is appreciated by all audiences. They’re making Rock and Soul sound as fresh and alive, while taking and developing the sound into the 21st century - a massive sound of Blues and charismatic stagecraft.
Since their debut in August 2006, Get Vegas have rapidly built up a huge following, helped along by having tracks placed on the All Right Now website – the approved website of Free and Bad Company The band also received the distinction of winning the 2006 Insangel Enigma Battle of the Bands followed in 2007 by winning the Red Bull Sponsored Battle of the Bands. August 2007 saw the band play Main Stage at the Bulldog Festival (Europe’s biggest bike festival) along side bands such as Status Quo and the Damned. September saw the band record their debut 4 track EP containing tracks: “Burning Soul”, “Lying Dreams”, “Nobody Else” and “Love Hound” In January 2008 the track “Lying Dreams” featured on the Classic Rock cover CD - “Bands You Need To Hear In 2008”. It has generated an amazing reaction from fans and the media. Consequent radio play, press in Europe and the US plus a stream of fans desperate to get hold of more material. Letters followed in the February edition of Classic Rock raving about “Lying Dreams” on the previous Classic Rock cover CD. This led to a full-page article in the March edition, a sold out tour of Sweden including national radio airplay, live performance and more dates in Sweden being confirmed for later the side of 2008.
May 08 sees the band on an extensive tour of their already hectic schedule; constant writing and recording of new material and developing a modern sounding genre.
An album is expected in late September 2008 and the band has already made plans to promote their album on tour with Thunder in the UK.
