About me:

Get Your Band On is a full-time band agency that promotes, develops and manages signed and unsigned rock bands and solo artists, mainly in Leicester but also in other parts of the UK.

We help bands that are on our roster. We provide management for bands based in Leicester.

For bands outside of Leicester we provide support and development services for those admitted to our roster.

We plan to work closely with record labels to get our bands signed. We book our bands into venue and promoted nights throughout the UK through our bookings agency Bookings for bands

RECORD LABELS

We work with record labels to get our bands signed. Some of our top bands are ready for signing and we can negotiate contracts for them. Other bands are not ready for signing but show promise and potential. We help these bands to develop their profile, so that they will become commercially attractive to labels. We have set up a Group on MySpace for Live Music Venues.

If you are a venue or promoter looking for top quality bands, please contact us. We supply bands regularly for several live music venues but are always open to working with more venues

Who I'd like to meet:


Record labels that are looking for rising bands with the right profile and demonstrable commercial success.

GYBO has listened to over 1000 bands playing live last year (2008). We believe that we have the skill to recognise the best bands when we see and hear them

GYBO offers a wide range of services to bands. Our band development work is unique and we are helping our roster of bands to get to the point where they will be of interest to labels.

We carefully select the best bands and introduce them to record labels. In this respect we act as independent A&R scouts. We already have a select group of bands whose work is ready for signing to labels. These bands have the experience, the musical talent and above all the hit songs to make them highly attractive to the industry.

We are keen to work with both medium level and the smaller labels who are looking for the best UK bands to sign, and with management companies that want to take on new, rising talent. Contact us through our web site or message us on MySpace.

We also work with labels to promote and publicise albums, arrange album launches and tours.

WORKSHOPS

We are working on the launch of a new series of band development events in 2009. Some of these are for single bands and others are open to anyone. If you want to register for an event, you can do this on our main web site Get Your Band On Workshops

    We've got two very different but very awesome shows for you this week...

    First up is THE DEAD FORMATS (Visible Noise) on Wednesday 1st July. For fans of THE CLASH and THE JAM, The Dead Formats are catchy choruses, post-punk ethics and true self belief.

    Supporting are THE JET BOYS, IN ISOLATION and SINATRA.

    Tickets are available from seetickets or Gigantic at £4.

    And if that doesn't float your boat, SAUSAGEFEST 2009 is coming up on Sunday 5th July, featuring the best on local and national metal and hardcore. THE RED CHORD, THE ARUSHA ACCORD, MARTYR DEFILED, RANDOM CONFLICT and loads more!
