Sharon was ten years old when she first held her first production. Her production featured her two siblings as the did there renditions of their favorite cheers Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Shake to the East” The cost to see the show was a penny and the show was sold out. . She new then that she had a love for production. Sharon began singing gospel music at an early age of six. At every family, gathering she was called in from playing to sing her mother's favorite tunes. At 15, the youth coordinator at her church recognized her gift to lead and influence others and asked her to accept the position of choir directress. She went on to sing with the Long Beach Children of Christ Community Choir where she was one of the leading soloists and participated in numerous workshops and community choirs in the Long Beach area. Sharon ended up in Las Vegas and felt that God had a plan for her there. God wanted her to grow spiritually and minister to the lost of Las Vegas. From 1992 to 2003, Sharon founded and directed Vision of Praise Gospel Ensemble (VOP), which also performed at the House of Blues in Las Vegas at the Gospel Brunch. Additionally, VOP performed at many different venues, including a seven-week tour in Japan. After 11 years, Sharon felt led to take her ministry to another level and began her solo career June of 2004 in which she still presently sings at the Gospel Brunch with her new band Nu-Vision. Sharon was re-introduced to theatre and production when she wrote and directed her first stage production “The Deliverance Zone” and the soon after “Stand” . Sister Loyce Hall the first lady of the Greater St. Paul COGIC saw the gift in her and she was assigned the President of the Fine Arts Department. There at Greater St Paul Sharon wrote and directed several skits. “The Tea Party”, “The Topray Hindfrey Show and several other skits and plays. In this mist of Sharon’s busy schedule she managed to obtain a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology June of 2007 from Calcoast University. She plans to further her education and obtain her Masters and then be a Christian Cognitive Counselor. Sharon is the eldest of two sisters and one brother. Her hobbies include writing poems, songs, plays and eating crab legs and ice cream (but not together!). Her favorite male artist is John P. Kee, her favorite female artist is Kim Burrell and her favorite evangelist is Beatrice Gardner. People who have provided the most influence in her life are her mother, Hazel Jones, Loyce Hall, Carol Friend and Lilly Harris (deceased). Chelsea (12 years old) performs Beethoven and Chopin at a church. Different musicians got together to share each others talents. It’s normally called a shed. Chelsea thought it was comical to hear other musicians reacting to her performance. Check it out.
