POPSTAR! Magazine calls her a "talented singer/actress making her mark on film, music and fashion worlds!" Gracing the covers of BABY! and Parent Magazines before she turned a year old, 14-year old Keana Texeira is an actress, model, singer, and dancer from an extremely diverse, multi-ethnic background comprised of Irish, Hawaiian, Portuguese, Cherokee Indian, Filipino, Japanese, and Spanish. Signed to Synergy Talent Agency in 2007, Keana completed several feature films (You Don't Mess with the Zohan, A Woman Called Job, Jelly) and had principal roles in commercials for Disney, California Adventure Theme Parks, Sally Mae, Mattel, MGA/Bratz, and many others.
In August 2007, Keana was one of the original 4 members of the girl group, "DA' GIRLZ", whose name was later changed to the "G-GIRLZ". The group transitioned to a duo in July 2008 amassing a huge online fanbase w/ their catchy pop tunes such as "G-TOWN GIRL", "AMORE MIRACLE", & "ROCK THE BLOCK".
As a solo artist, Keana is working on her original music with award-winning producer Andrew Lane (High School Musical, Hannah Montana Movie) who produced her first 3 singles, "Butterflies", "Daredevil", and "Could You Be the One" (featuring Jake T. Austin). She recently completed her first acoustic single "Luna's Dream" and the uptempo "Train Wreck" to be distributed in Japan thru Universal Bungalow.
As an actress, Keana completed the feature film "MELISSA" co-starring veteran actor Chris Atkins (Blue Lagoon), Emily Grace Reaves (Hannah Montana Movie), and her younger sister, Sophie. In June 2009, Keana was cast in her biggest role to date as Luna Tremaine, the lead in the teen vampire saga "SOULSTICE", coming to theaters in 2011.
Modeling her trademark curls, Keana is the official face and spokesperson for Totally Texty, a shampoo and conditioner line specially formulated for teens and tweens. The product was recently launched at the Pre-Party for the 2009 Teen Choice Awards. Keana is also the new teen face for Three Peas CO, J. Gerard Couture, and L.A. Girlfriend Designer Skincare by celebrity make-up artist, Lisa Ashley (wife of L.A. Dodgers' Billy Ashley of the new FOX REALITY SERIES "Househusbands of Hollywood").
Keana not only wants to impact the teen/tween film, music, and fashion industries----she aims to also be a genuine role-model for girls of all ages. With helping others as a priority, Keana supports various charities and causes including THE MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION, CUPCAKES FOR CANCER, JUVENILE DIABETES, CHILDREN'S STARLIGHT FOUNDATION, DOSOMETHING.ORG and was one of the first celebrities featured on CELEBSGONEGOOD.COM. In May 2009, Keana helped to officially launch the "LOLLIPOPS & RAINBOWS FOUNDATION", founded by 8-year old Hannah Montana Movie star, Emily Grace Reaves.
