After business/personal differances, Joey Lee and Shawn Cruz decided to stop working together as CURBJOB COMICS. The myspace page will continue to stay active so that you can still read GHASTLY PARABLES whenever you'd like, but news/etc. will most likely not change.
Joey Lee is pursuing a successfull and challenging career with a thriving corporation.
Shawn Cruz is living in Oregon and is still a comic book artist. He has a new solo-studio called CORROSIVE COMICS, and is working on a new project for a guitar company called Normandy Guitars. The new book, which will be releasing four issues a year, is called PSYCHO GUITAR KILLERS.
Frequent the CORROSIVE COMICS myspace for updates on the first issue.
Thanks to all of you that supported us. This was Joey and my first swing at the comic book industry, and you all made us feel like pros. It was a SHIT-TON of fun and I'll never forget Curbjob.
See you at the cons,
VOODOO BOOGIE/FREE COMIC BOOK DAY
This is a new book written and illustrated by Shawn Cruz. The book will be premiered at Danger Zone Comics (
I will be at Danger Zone along side Art Thibert (Ultimate Spiderman/Ultimate XMen), and some UFC fighter guy, I don't who he is, but apparently he's pretty tough. (We'll see about that!)
It's the story of a disfigured little girl, who grows up to be a ghoulish shut-in that creates voodoo dolls to harm
EMERALD CITY COMICON –
This will be the BIGGEST show Curbjob has ever attended! We'll be rubbing elbows with the likes of ERIC POWELL (The Goon), SLAVE LABOR GRAPHICS (Johnny the Homicidal Maniac) and SUICIDE GIRLS!
Not sure which table is ours yet but I'll update before the show. We'll have copies of GHASTLY PARABLES, VOODOO BOOGIE, and a preview of our project in the works, SUBVERT CITY.
THANKS TO ALL AT
Thanks again to everyone that dropped by the Curbjob table at this past Portland Comic Book Show! I met a lot of friends and contacts, and even sold a few books! It was a great time all around and a special thanks to:
Darren Henne (Helper Monkey)
Thanks for all of the support!
