Hampton Roads College Alumni Network	Dec 20 2007 10:35 PM The 2nd Annual Mardi Gras edition of the Hampton Roads College Alumni Network Mixer will be happening on Thurs., February 7th from 6 to 10 PM @ Blackfinn's in downtown Norfolk(Waterside)! Attendance is free as usual! There will be drink specials featuring $? Hurricanes(official drink of Mardi Gras), $3 domestics, $4 imports, $5 specialty drinks, $3 house wines, and $4 call liquors as well as free appetizers!! In the spirit of the Mardi Gras tradition, there will be beads and King's Cakes!! The last 6 mixers have all been great successes having an average attendance of over 100 people!! Especially, the most recent 2nd Annual Holidays Mixer @ Guadalajara(Town Center-VB) and Oktoberfest mixer @ Gordon Biersch...both averaging 150 alumni!! Alumni from various schools such as CNU, Clemson, ECU, GMU, Georgia Tech, Hollins, JMU, Longwood, Mary Baldwin, Marymount, Mary Washington, NC State, Ohio State, ODU, Radford, R-MC, Shenandoah, Sweetbriar, UNC, U of R, U of TX, UVA, VCU, VT, VA Wesleyan, W&M, etc. have been in attendance!! As always, its a great opportunity to network with or make new friends with people who are also college graduates! See you there!!
Hampton Roads College Alumni Network	Nov 7 2007 9:17 AM The 2nd Annual Holidays edition of the Hampton Roads College Alumni Network Mixer will be happening on Thurs., November 29th from 6 to 10 PM @ Guadalajara's in VA Beach's Town Center(4611 Columbus Street-below Dick's Sporting Goods and across the street from the new Westin)! Attendance is free as usual! There will be drink specials featuring $2 Sol's ($3 domestics, $4 imports, $5 margaritas, $3 house wines, $4 call liquors) as well as free appetizers!! The last 5 mixers have all been great successes having an average attendance of over 100 people!! Especially, the most recent Oktoberfest mixer @ Gordon Biersch...there must have been around 150 alumni over the course of the night making it the best mixer yet!! Alumni from various schools such as CNU, ECU, GMU, Hollins, JMU, Longwood, Mary Baldwin, Marymount, Mary Washington, ODU, Radford, R-MC, Shenandoah, Sweetbriar, U of R, UVA, VCU, VT, VA Wesleyan, W&M, etc. have been in attendance!! As always, its a great opportunity to network with or make new friends with people who are also college graduates! For all football fans, the Cowboys VS Packers game will be playing on the TVs in the bar that evening! See you there!!
Hampton Roads College Alumni Network	Sep 23 2007 3:10 PM The Oktoberfest/Fall edition of the Hampton Roads College Alumni Network Mixer will be happening on Thurs., October 4th from 6 to 10 PM @ Gordon Biersch(4561 VA Beach Blvd) in VA Beach @ Town Center(intersection of VA Beach Blvd/Independence Blvd). There will be $1 off house beers, $2 off wines, and $5 margaritas/martinis/mojitos(just remember to keep your name tag on!!)!! Attendance is free as usual! The last 4 mixers have all been great successes having an average attendance of over 100 people!! There will be free appetizers!! Attendance is free as usual! Lucky us...Wednesday's are $1 beer night @ Kokoamos!! The last 3 mixers have all been great successes having an average attendance of over 100 people!! Hampton Roads College Alumni Network	Apr 27 2007 1:24 PM The Hampton Roads College Alumni Network Cinco De Mayo Mixer arrives next Thursday, May 3rd from 6 to 10 PM @ Senor Iguanas @ 424 S. Witchduck Rd @ the intersection of Kempsville/Princess Anne in VA Beach. The VT Tidewater Alumni Chapter will be accepting donations for the families of the students of the recent tragedy. The event provides another opportunity for local college grads to network/meet people who are also college alumni. The last 2 events both had over 100 people in attendance!! With the great weather that has arrived and festive spirit of Cinco De Mayo, this mixer promises to outdo the previous mixers!! There will be free appetizers and $2 beers. Attendance is free as usual! See you next week!!

Shirt sizes are starting to go quickly, meaning registering ahead of time will most definitely pay off. Not to mention if you register two or more people at once you can save some money! (Registering two people at once saves you $5.00 on one person and registering seven or more people at once saves you $5.00 on every person! Discounts are only available online before the event.) Hampton Roads College Alumni Network	Feb 13 2007 8:02 PM Are you ready?!?! VA Colleges Alumni Mardi Gras Mixer on Wed, Feb. 28th from 6 to 10 PM @ Baxters on Granby St. in Norfolk. The last event in December had 100 people in attendance. This event already looks to shatter that number based on RSVP's!! All VA Colleges Alumni are invited to attend! This includes CNU, GMU, Hollins, JMU, Longwood, Mary Baldwin, Mary Washington, Marymount, ODU, Radford, R-MC, Shenandoah, U of Richmond, UVA, VCU, VT, VA Wesleyan, W&M, etc. If you went to college out of state, I'll let you sneak in too! The mixer will boast a Mardi Gras theme complete with King's Cakes(arrive early to sample for your share of the good luck!), beads, and $2-3 beer specials!! Attendance is free as is the pool tables. RSVP by Friday, Feb. 23rd so that I may give Baxter's a rough estimate of expected attendees!! If you forget to RSVP, you may still attend. See you there!!

This is no joke - we opened up registration about one week ago and already have over 40 people attending the event. We expect that number to grow by ten times and probably more - register now! We're crawlin' for a cause!
