Pirates of Ghost Island
Six Spring-Breakers wake up on an island. 3 Men and 3 women. They have been shipwrecked from a cruise ship. They have no idea where they are. The island appears to be desolate. They attempt to make the best of it and build a base camp in the island brush. But, soon, they become aware that THEY ARE NOT ALONE. One of them, SARAH, is kidnapped before dawn. Terrified, they realize the truth.
Two of the men, BRAD and DUTCH, set out to find the missing girl. Dutch is killed by a booby trap. Brad is confronted by a burly pirate, SHARK, and one disfigured mate, TREACLE, right out of the 17th Century. Brad is taken captive and dragged to the Pirate..s lair. A grotto filled with typical pirate trappings. Brad is re-united with Sarah, the woman who was kidnapped. She is dressed in a 17th century dress and sits at side of CAPTAIN STYE, who..s wearing an eye patch, though he doesn..t need it. They talk, act, and believe as if they are in the 17th century.
Back at the camp, the two women, DAWN and CALLIE, and the remaining man, MIKE, are attacked again by Treacle. Fight for their lives, and Mike captures Treacle and forces him to take them to Sarah and Brad. Booby traps left by the Captain kill Dawn.
At the grotto, the captives, Brad and Sarah, attempt to negotiate their way out of the situation. The pirates laugh. They chain Brad in a cave and let him know that he has just joined their merry band of looters, whether he likes it or not. A group of four or five pirates beg Brad to help them escape. Sarah is then tormented by he Captain while Brad can only watch behind bars. He and the pirates form an escape plan..they..re jealous of the main pirate.
Suddenly, the grotto is attacked by Mike and Callie and the reluctant Treacle, who then turns on them. Brad and the other pirates break out. The two sides stand off. The cruise survivors can..t believe their eyes at what they are witnessing. Their captors actually believe they are pirates. Did they pass through some kind of time warp? The pirates and the cruise survivors fight it out, with swords and pistols. Mike is shot and fatally wounded. Sarah and Callie take revenge and attempt to kill the Pirate who killed him, Shark. But they realize that the Pirates are not alive at all. They are dead. They are all ghosts. The pirates transform into zombielike creatures, with rotten flesh and
ragged clothes.
The three survivors escape the grotto and make it to the beach. On the beach, a modern day coast guard officer is waving them over. They run to him. He tells them his boat is ashore just around the bend. Behind them, the zombie pirates have emerged from the brush. The survivors run, the coast guard grabs Callie..he is also dead. He leans out to bite her. She screams. She becomes surrounded by the zombies. Brad and Sarah look back but can't help her as she is devoured.
Brad and Sarah go nuts and kill all the zombies, but the captain remains alive. Will they survive? Find out...
