With natural chemistry, limitless potential and a mature sound well beyond their years, Ghost of a Stranger is poised to get their polished, authentic sound out to the masses. Composed of Peter Torrey (vocals/guitar), Adam Korbesmeyer (Guitar/Synth),Greg Gebhard (Bass) and Josh Martin (Drums), Ghost of A Stranger has spent the past four months gearing up to release their first full length debut on Connecticut based Veggie Co. Records, entitled Hers and Yours. Ghost of a Stranger began as a project of Torrey's, alongside former drummer Dave Manzano. After seeing the production talents and innovative ideas of Korbesmeyer, he and Gebhard joined together to round off Ghost's initial line-up. Geographic differences and personal attitudes towards the band saw the departure of Manzano. The addition of Martin on drums has allowed Ghost of a Stranger to reinvent their style to incorporate more aggression into their music and highlight Torrey's uniquely transcendent vibrato. After being mentioned on a Minus the Bear blog, executives from Veggie Co. contacted Ghost of a Stranger and a strong bond was immediately formed. Signing to Veggie Co. allowed the northeastern quartet to get Hers and Yours recorded and pressed. "We wouldn't have been able to make the record at that time with out veggies and sheesh." -GOAS
Ghost of a Stranger has performed with: The Secret Machines. Cartel. The Appreciation post. Vega Under Fire. Colors in the air. Gonculator. Longitude. Polar Bear Club. The Dear Hunter. We were being and knowing That two were one, and we were three In twelve sided cosmos, drifting by I wasn’t seeing I was feeling And wasn’t being, doing, two were one And when I looked to it Nothing but the corner of my eye Then we were three, and being Being and doing I hadn’t known that two were one We were that same one, and being When I know, I feel I see that two were one We were three and being Drifted through twelve sides And we were being Knowing that two were one And falling there on clouds like stars We were three and known We were one, I don’t know I was being, doing, but I knew That two were one And clouds flow down Drifting, we know, and see Doing, and knowing we were three And knowing two were one That two were one.
