    Ghost of Maine is an independent metal band from Indianapolis, IN. Made up of a individuals who are veteran DIY'ers, Ghost of Maine has been a progressing force throughout the Midwest. Having grown from it's humble roots as a hardcore/post-hardcore band GOM has evolved into a well thought-out and imaginative machine that is climbing the foothills of progressiveness. Continuing to spread out across the Midwest, Ghost of Maine has played more than 250 shows to date in nine different states. Ghost of Maine has self-released 3 full run EPs, each building upon the last. The 2007self-titled release helped to earn the group Best Unsigned Metal Band on myspace. Their latest work, Persistence of Vision, release in late October 2010, has been called "Finely crafted metalwork" by John Buckman, founder/owner of Magnatune.
