ghostrider comprise of Jamie 'the human funk' Robson on bass (occasional vocals and guitar), John 'sleeping badger, hidden moth' McKillop on guitar and vocals, Dan 'weasel Hendrix' Clare on vocals and guitar, and Joe 'old man time' Hancey on the thumpers. Rest assured, we are all average men...6 by 5, hairy teeth, crocodile smiles and shoes to match...several severed arms, stick legs and monsters for stomachs. Founding members Dan and Jamie have been playing together for over 10 years, starting out in a static caravan in the Lincolnshire Wolds. We learnt to cope with rural isolation and ennui by making strange, unearthly noises influenced by the sonic soundscapes of early sonic youth and godspeedyoublackemporer as well as the powerful landscapes surrounding us. We gradually wrestled our noise into song form, making it more coherent and accessible yet maintaining some of the raw improvised feel of our earlier work. After relocating to Norwich we added JMC for a bit of extra 'growl'. We found Joe in a skip behind cash converters about 2 years ago. He was naked except for a banana skin covering his zone. After his gradual reintegration into civilised society he has proved to be a great find. Since then, ghostrider have been dazzling the good people of Norwich with our energetic and experimental shows. This year we have been working on our album at The Sick Room Studios, and hope to have it finished by December 2008. Anyway kick back and torture your ears with a bombardment of interstellar audio waves!!!!

"Somewhere On The Line is the best debut album in the widened Trip-Hop-Genre since Goldfrapps legendary Felt Mountain" (Zillo Magazine 03/09)
We are very proud to announce, that Monocular s "Water Shape EP" is available at your favorite Online-Store now.
Containing the single "Water Shape" from the forthcoming album "Somewhere On The Line" (April 03, 2009 VierSieben Records/Alive) and three non-album tracks ("Consequence", "To Admire The Life", "Ravenclaw"), it is definitely a must have for all fans of filigree and athmospheric electrosounds.
Where bands like Lamb or Frou Frou left a gap in the late 90s and early 21st century, Monocular redefined the sound and set new standards in developing their complex music by connecting charismatic vocals with entrancing soundscapes.
