Wuthering Heights (1939)
Directed by William Wyle
- An ageless plot centered on the evil excesses of marriage between devil-like Heathcliff and psychotic Cathy, who portrays a doomed fallen angel, unworthy of heaven. Tragically, the characters are burdened with a wardrobe as macabre as their names. The final scene ranks as the highlight of the film, with a supernatural afterlife where spirits of the dead are reunited to wander the deserted moors of Wuthering Heights.

I am almost afraid; though I know the night Lets no ghosts walk in the warm lamplight. Yet ghosts there are; and they blow, they blow, Out in the wind and the scattering snow.- When I open the windows and go to bed, Will the ghosts come In and stand at my head?

all of my books are in some hideously random order,as i have found amazon to have a huge amount of the local ones,so they keep coming in faster than i can sort them.actually i am just lazy!i do kinda know what i have and must give a shout out to the local 'half priced books' store for having a few for sale each time i venture in.i have been keen on ohio lately, and pennsylvania as well, but my main goal is to get at least one book per state, which is tiring as i could care less about hawaii,or here in washington especially because i never find any thing new here storywise.(sigh). any suggestions will be greatly appreciated and i hope to hear from you soon!oh and maryland,NJ,and delaware are piquing my curiosity too!
