I am a singer-songwriter centred in Toronto.
I have a PhD in History, and am a Postdoctoral Fellow at York University. GWC is my side project. Keeps me sane. I've travelled around Canada and the world, and many of my songs try to reflect the people, places and stories I've come into contact with...
The "live" feel to these songs is due to the utterly unpolished atmosphere they were recorded in. For some of these, we laid it all down and recorded off-the-floor in a big, empty lodge in Northern Ontario, on the shores of Canoe Lake. Hence, The Lodge Sessions. The rest are just plain live with some buddies at C'est What, a bar in downtown Toronto.
A bit out of tune, a few scratches here and there, but the feel of the songs came across OK, I think. What do you think?
The Taylor Statten Camps Bursary Fund is a very cool project which raises money to help underprivileged kids go to summer camps, get out of the city, and escape the Big Smoke for awhile. If you like these songs, please consider sending a cheque to:

Hey! Thank you so much for the request. It's easy to hear the Townes Van Zandt influence in your music... then again I've been listening to him yesterday and today. When I next listen to Guy Clark maybe I'll come back and change what I've just typed. Haha.
