Just because you're grown up, doesn't mean you don't need someone to confide in. In fact, logic dictates that the opposite is true. Life becomes more complex and difficult as we get older. The people that we confide in as adults are very valuable. We usually choose our friends based on common interests that we share. We may have different friends for the variety of activities that we engage in. The important thing is that there is sense of mutual respect, and caring for each other.

This section is for lifelong friendships. Most friendships only last for a particular phase of our lives. When that developmental period is over, the friendship may dissolve. For a friendship to last a lifetime there must be something really special between you. There must be a connection that transcends time and space. This kind of a friendship also takes a certain flexibility. People change throughout their lifetimes and they must continue to search for commonalities between the two of them if they expect their friendship to endure.

Holidays are opportunities for friends and relatives to get together and celebrate life. Our lives have become so hectic and stressful that we spend way too little time with the people we love. This causes all sorts of health problems, both emotional and physical. Human beings need to realize that we function in a community and we need each other support. It is imperative that we use the holidays that we are given to spend time with our loved ones.

Sharing good times with good friends is the greatest joy. This is the stuff that makes life worthwhile. Whether sharing a meal together or a good conversation, there is nothing more fulfilling then spending time with friends. We must be thankful for the friendships that come our way for not all are blessed with the skills to form deep relationships. Those of us that do have friends must never take for granted the gift bestowed upon us.

Saying "thank you" may be the two hardest words that friends share. We like to see ourselves as independent and not needing anyone's help. When a friend does something for us, it is difficult to humble ourselves by thanking them. Believe it or not, as strong as your need is to believe yourself independent, your friend may have an even stronger need to hear the words "thank you". Your friend may see that he or she is the one who is always doing the thanking and will appreciate that he or she is also a contributor to the friendship.

This holiday I wanted to dedicate this comment to our HOT Shot Crews
and to send our love to Cal. for the lose of the firemen and women fire
fighters that gave the ultimate to save people homes and animals. Every
state calls them different here they are our hot shot crews and they
come in and 24 hour 7 days a week for 5 months or more they are our
heaven sent angels. We are high and most of ours come from lighting
strike. In 2000 we lost three big towns and to many fire fighters did
not go home to their family's. When we see the old white busses our
horns are not loud enough and we can not hang out and wave enough. That
is the only thanks they get for protecting us. For all that leave their
family and help and protect us thank you because we may not say it but
we appreciate you all.
