A student of life always interested in learning something new. I have an enduring love of history, art and cultures. In the past I was proficient in the use of ancient weaponry from nearly every era and culture. This includes making and using my own stone age tools and weapons. One dream of mine is to one day forge a sword by my own hand. Most recently I have found an interest in 3D artwork and digital animation.
I don't like to use cell phones or texting devices and prefer to use paper and pencil to write and design.
Music
My most loved composer is Beethoven.
Billie Holiday, Van Morrison, Tool, The Stones, The Doors, Platters, Kansas, Drifters, Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Beatles, Celtic Women, Boston, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Joe Cocker, AC/DC, Frank Sinatra, Nirvana, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Enigma...etc.
Music that is emotionally moving and haunting melodies. If the music has a good beat I can dance, especially to funk.
I also do some of my own song writing.
Movies
I enjoy watching and studying them, collecting DVDs and favor the "old Hollywood" directors and character actors. Also enjoy well made and written movies of today.
It is not in my nature to have a single favorite. My most loved movies might surprise you. What shame is there to shed a tear, if what you are feeling is sincere?
Television
My ability to watch television is broken, thankfully.
About me:
In my past life, I was an Information Scientist, a philosopher and a warrior. Now retired and disabled I've become an aspiring writer. In the last nine years I have outlined and developed a series of fantasy novels. Currently, I am writing the first and second books of ..?..
Thus, I go forth to prey upon the pages turning, to scribe into history my mark discerning, whether it become a mere wisp of smoke, or a grand old oak, to withstand the test of time...
My work beckons, the world fades, into seclusion I go and into other realms to sow
The Legacy of the Immortals series is no children's fantasy.
Across the universe are the known worlds, each with their own rich histories, religious beliefs and legendary figures. Through heroic deeds or prophetic vision some of these individuals, whether through fate or circumstance, have risen to myth and legend that has indelibly shaped the future of their cultures.
Gods and Goddesses endure through the ages still whispering their secrets of the universe to the worthy and striking vengeance against the wicked. In these fables so old their origins are unknown, the legends endure as echoes from the past to edify and guide us. This is the Legacy of the Immortals...
It is my wish to keep these books confined to the written page so the story will live in the imagination of my readers, as it should be for a novel written.
I am a true gentleman (knowing when not to be) and have decided to make one last stand for chivalry to exist in this age. I shed the corporate attire of my past life, never again to walk within the halls of Fortune Entities. Taking up my sword once more and venturing by my pen, I remain hopefully romantic about life and prefer the real world to the digital universe.
To succeed in the mind is fleeting, to succeed in the heart, soul healing
for some the love of writing will never fade, to this end prosperity will not avail
If you can’t laugh at yourself, with others at no expense, you may end up seeing only a humor at other’s expense.
The pursuit of beauty isn’t found in a cosmetic product or procedure, nor is it about fat or thin. It is only seen by the eyes when it is found by the heart, within...
Revealed in their fields,
the wilderness of science,
facts flower in truth.
How could one write of fantasy without some knowledge of metaphysics?
Who I'd like to meet: Writers and readers especially fantasy fiction fanatics. Strange strangers, eclectic eccentrics and most nonconformists are particularly welcome.
People who do not use the word "fabulous" in their everyday dialog. Those who genuinely care about anything other than themselves.
Most importantly I enjoy meeting people who are more concerned with developing their character rather than their image.
I am not here to "hook-up" and porn holds no luster for me. If you want to be friends, please have something more about your interests in your profile.
If you are 21 or under, I say to you: The world can wait for you to grow up and do adult things. Dont just live in today. The decisions you make today can cast a shadow or a shine a light upon your tomorrows.
Maureen O..Hara is on my friends list!
So captivating is she to me,
in the way that she moves,
the fierce passion of her expressions,
and the pure emotion in her shining eyes,
forever and a day, she takes my breath away MYFLYPROFILE.NET
Thanks for being a member of the Worldwide Fiction Writer's Group (http://groups. myspace. com/wfwg). Since October 26, 2006, we've grown from 1 member to 424. Pretty solid growth . . . but until recently, the forum has been fairly unsteady. I'm wondering if you could help me change that, please? Many "newbies" have joined lately and are looking for advice and mentors. You veterans, please stop by and offer advice often and freely. And you "newbies," please drop by often and be thankful for the advice received. Together, let's make 2009 the year of increased activity in the W.F.W.G. forum.
By the way, I'd love to learn more about you (and help you any way I can!). Please feel free to e-mail me anytime at jjhebert@gmail.com (put "W.F.W.G. member:Top priority" in the subject line) or you can join my "Email List" on www. jjhebert. net to learn about me (my novel's coming out in July)! Talk to you soon, and let's make 2009 a HUGE year for W.F.W.G. and all of its members!
As you may or may not know, I turned twenty-five the other day. Instead of gifts this year, I'm asking everyone to join my Email List on www. jjhebert. net. Unconventional, my newest novel, will be published by Mindstir Media later this year, and joining the Email List will ensure that you receive updates regarding my book release, contests, giveaways, and more.
