Each group/artist contributes one short two-minute piece that either "rips" or "creeps" based on their own interpretation. The tracks compiled have been collaged and stitched together to make one long continuous track on each side of the tape resulting in a non-interrupted journey beyond the fringe. Curated and with artwork by Todd Brooks, Rippers and Creepers is a part of Pendu Org's continued efforts to promote “esoteric ostranenie of contemporary weirdo culture”. Pendu Sound (2007)
Ghost Moth began in April 2006 when guitarist/junk-jammer, Todd Brooks (CM*Chaos Majik, Abuse Report, Mialessot) asked free-jazz multi-instrumentalist Daniel Carter (Test! / Other Dimensions in Music) to join with him and knobbie-twister, Robbie McDonald (Old Ghost / Skulking) for a recording session. The result of that performance laid the foundation of what was to come. The first 2 recordings were released under the moniker, Mialessot w/ Daniel Carter & Old Ghost. They played two shows as Hemorrhage, but have since been known as Ghost Moth. In August 2009, Robbie decided to leave the group to pursue other projects and Ghost Moth became a duo.
Ghost Moth establishes each space it inhabits as a Temporary Autonomous Zone (T.A.Z.) declaring absolute freedom, "freedom of" and "freedom from". Leaderless in collaboration. A belief in spontaneity and anarchy as a gateway to the sublime.
Todd Brooks better known as Todd Pendu also runs The Pendu Organization (www.pendu.org) which includes Pendu Sound Recordings.
Recorded: live on March 16, 2003 at the Beta Lounge in San Francisco
In 1967, San Francisco’s Fifty Foot Hose were certainly one of the
innovators of a sound that took Psychedelia to new heights and was
captured on the band’s one record, Cauldron. They are a totally
unique hybrid—on one hand pulsating bay area acid rock, on the other,
fractured electronic freakery, becoming one whole cohesive being. The
sci-fi-ish video game-like artwork hinted at the sounds within, as did
the Limelight label’s pedigree for truly progressive sounds. Band
leader, Cork Marcheschi, used homemade electronic devices to create
crude and experimental soundscapes and instrumental compositions that
were sprinkled throughout the album.
Often starting shows with a swelling rumble that exploded into the
first song, they soon developed a rabid following on the SF scene,
though there was the occasional totally wrong gig, like when a
very-pregnant Nancy had to perform at a Catholic Girls’ school! Still,
the group wowed the crowds, performing with greats like Chuck Berry and
Fairport Convention.

NEW BOOK OUT NOW: Chthonic - Prose & Theory by Vadge Moore
"Vadge Moore is an American author and musician that has spent a lifetime testing the boundaries of good and evil. He toured and recorded with the infamous sleaze-punk institution The Dwarves, apocalyptic rock group Neither-Neither World, and his own nihilist-noise unit Chthonic Force. He has written for the early nineties occult journal Primal Chaos, the esoteric magazine Dagobert's Revenge, and the controversial web 'zine Synthesis. Recently Vadge has taken up an aphoristic-prose style of writing that best expresses his iniquitous and sinister insights into the mind of Man. Chthonic: Prose & Theory is just that; prose wedded to theory that scrutinizes the human, all too human, Monster that is Man."
"Chthonic: Prose & Theory" is a collection of perverse and violent prose wedded to his own brand of occult esoterica. Peer into the mind of one of America's greatest living libertines.
