Giancarlo Barbadoro is a poet, musician, composer and writer. He has published four collections of poetry and takes part in recitals along with international poets.
He is a member of the Keltic music group LabGraal, acting as flutist, poet and composer.
The research carried out by Giancarlo Barbadoro draws inspiration from the “Alchemic Art of Silence”, a path inspired by the ancient Druidic traditions of Northern Europe that he expresses through poetry and music.
Amongst the various poetry collections he published “Nel Segno del Graal”, based on Celtic art and illustrated with the paintings of Angela Betta Casale.
He designed the “Dreamland Cromlech”, a stone circle 22 meters in diameter erected in Piedmont (Turin, Italy) that is inspired by “Land Art”, ideated on the grounds of archeoastronomical elements taken from the ancient Celtic science.
He has released various CDs, as to mention the intimate music album “Shan, the Meditation” and “Katchina” recorded in Arizona.
He is a protagonist of the film “Shan, the Ancient Heart of Natural Peoples” directed by Stefano Milla.Researcher in the areas of Celtism and Natural Peoples of the planet, he has published many texts regarding such topics, amongst which the book “Natural Peoples and Ecospirituality” written with Rosalba Nattero and the Apache Ola Cassedore. The book, which has obtained United Nations encouragement, has been translated into many languages and presented at conferences in Europe, USA, Africa and Australia as well as at the United Nations of New York and Geneva.
Along with Rosalba Nattero he published the book “Rama Vive”, research on the megalithic culture of Piedmont and on the ancient city of Rama.
He directs “Shan Magazine”, a periodical dealing covering Keltic culture and megalithism.
He is a UN Delegate, and representative of six indigenous organizations:
• Apache Survival Coalition, Arizona;
• United Confederation of Taìno People, Caribbean;
• Wiran Aboriginal Corporation, Australia;
• Bassa People, Cameroon;
• Menhirs Libres, Brittany;
• Ensemble Allons dans la Paix, Benin.
Giancarlo Barbadoro is the President of the Ecospirituality Foundation, an NGO in consultative status with the United Nations, whose staff encompasses exponents from Native Communities of all continents.
