"Giant Lion is an American gypsy-rock band with psychedelic folk
qualities. They may be the first to have coined the phrase Hypno-Folk.
Swaggering acoustic and electric guitar melodies mesh with profound
vocal harmonies, luring viola turns and a rhythm section featuring an
often-tribalistic percussion tandem. Catchy and thought evoking lyrics
will stain your senses with new found enlightenment.
Nearly three centuries ago, a mysterious light source was found at the bottom of the Creb Sea several hundred miles from the coast of New Hindaua. The light was unexplained, yet illuminated a cave that was home to a small colony of sea creatures not too unlike the present day jellyfish. The creatures were said to make beautiful music in the mysterious light of the sea. They were also said to have had irreverant powers of mind soothing which can be compared to nothing of this day.
In the midst of the sixteenth century, an explorer named Hansel "the god child" stronsten, felt a strange desire pulling him to the sight of cave, half protruding from the sea. He sailed directly to the light on emotion alone, and upon arrival, made an unsettling discovery. No creature, in fact, had been making the entrancing music at all. More exactly, it was a form of it's own composing the music simply for the jelly organisms. The form was, separately, a lonely saint (spirit of the highlands), a mysterious jewel peddler (the spirit of the eagle), an invisible woman (spirit of the smoke), a psychic who'd seen enough (spirit of the horse), a world class hunter who'd given up the gun (spirit of the grass), and a man known only to have been a dentist (spirit of the spider). The form was, collectively, a diamond-hilted lion, who spoke in harmonies and sighed in melodies. Hansel, upon meeting the lion's eyes, drew his blade and cut open the lion, releasing all six spirits. The six delicately laid Mr. Stronsten to rest and now travel the earth and its realms, in search of their lost form."

Powerviolence peppers the grounds where spooked whispers whinny along, and the caustic words of a madman festering in his own mind play out over perpetually plucked guitar strings. A true honour it is to work with these amazing artists, and I do hope we can keep them coming back for years.
