Ron James studied percussion performance at NAU and has been playing and teaching professionally for over 20 years, touring extensively in the US, Europe, and Asia with various pro bands as well as his own jazz projects. Zirque Bonner is a master of upright bass and has performed with greats including Stanley Jordan. Brad Bays, an accomplished jazz and classical guitarist, and Ron studied together and have been in bands together for 22 years. Chris Benevidez, another NAU grad, has been a staple of the AZ jazz scene for years and brings an edge and improv element that is undeniable. Giant Steps features some of the best players in the Southwest and is sure to fix your jones for jazz.
