GeneralScience, Martial Arts, Metalsmithing/Jewelrymaking, Cosplay, Crossplay, Writing.

Wow I actually managed to put something serious and normal-sounding here. Let's see if we can do something about that.

My interests include: rice crackers, hats, glowsticks, exploding things, fire, metal, pretty/colorful rocks, hammers, swiss army knives, gadgets, rainy days, nighttime, moonlight, soda rockets, silver, black-and-white, buffalo nickels, soft/silky metal, biohazard stickers, stuff that doesn't look like anything else, shiny objects, salty crunchy things, candles, swords, platform boots...

I'm tired now. I'll add more here later.
MusicI have developed a passionate hatred for anything that sounds too ordinary and boring (including pop music. I hate pop music. Cinema Bizarre is the closest I'll ever come to pop music). If Hannah Montana ever goes from "I might be a rock star" to "I'm a rock star," then Rock Music will get up and go shoot itself in the head.

I also hate most slow music (Joy Electric and Gackt seem to be the only ones who can make slow songs that I enjoy). Thus, since most artists make both fast and slow songs, I don't usually say I have any favorite artists. I don't feel that I can call them my favorite artist if refuse to buy their slow tracks. And so, I almost never buy whole CDs anymore. I buy the tracks off of gomusic or itunes.

Joy Electric is the only artist I can safely say is my favorite. I also liked the special Brothers Martin CD that Ronnie did with his brother.

Since I can't really list artists or genres, I'll just post a playlist with all my favorite music :)

Movieslisting off "likes" can take forever, so I'll just tell you what DVDs I actually own, in alphabetical order.

-The 10th Kingdom
-The 36 Crazy Fists (I've had this for a while but haven't actually watched it yet. It only cost $2)
-Anger Management
-Bourne trilogy
-Catwoman
-Chronicles of Riddick
-Edward Scissorhands
-Equilibrium
-Fearless (with Jet Li)
-The Grudge
-Hercules (season 4)
-Ladyhawke
-Lord of the Rings trilogy (extended edition)
-The Matrix
-Mr. & Mrs. Smith
-Mythbusters (season 2... I want more)
-The Phantom of the Opera
-Samurai Reincarnation (another $2 movie... it sucks so bad it's funny)
-A Series of Unfortunate Events
-Smallville (season 1)
-Stargate SG-1 (seasons 3-7... hoping to get them all eventually)
-Underworld
-White Chicks

and... I also feel compelled to mention "Noriko's Dinner Table." It's a newly-released Japanese film.... not quite horror, even though the cover makes it look like that. It's not a favorite movie of mine, but it messed with my head ALL THE WAY THROUGH. I had NO IDEA what was going to happen next. No movie has ever had that effect on me. I have to give the makers of that movie major kudos for taking me on the craziest ride ever.
Television-Bleach
-Death Note
-Ergo Proxy
-Fullmetal Alchemist
-Hana Yori Dango (I know, I know, but it's cute!)
-Hellsing
-Mononoke
-Lost
-Rurouni Kenshin
-Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis (but SG-1 moreso)
-Star Trek (pretty much anything but DS9)
-Trigun
-Ugly Betty
-Wolf's Rain
-The X-Files
BooksAgain, I'm just telling you what I have on my bookshelf.

-The Bible
-The Apocrypha
-Survival: How to Prepare in Hostile Environments -- Xavier Maniguet
-The Tolkein Encyclopedia -- David Day
-Out of the Silent Planet -- C.S. Lewis
-Perelandra -- C.S. Lewis (I just finished re-reading this for the third time lol!)
-That Hideous Strength -- C.S. Lewis (last one in this Space Trilogy, but it sucked. Out of the Silent Planet and Perelandra were much better)
-Star Wars: the Phantom Menace
-Stargate SG-1: The Price You Pay -- Ashley McConnell
-The Young Black Stallion -- Walter and Steven Farley (loved those books when I was a kid!)
-The Journal of Ben Uchida
-Zen in the Martial Arts -- Joe Hyams
-Iai: The Art of Drawing the Sword -- Darrel Max Craig
-Bushido: The Warrior's Code -- Inazo Nitobe
-Book of Five Rings -- Miyamoto Musashi
-Gracie Submission Essentials -- Helio and Royler Gracie (I've actually had the honor of meeting Royler Gracie and attending one of his seminars. It was awesome. Also, Wellington "Megaton" Diaz, one of the Ukes in the book and also one of my BJJ instructors, signed the book for me :D)
-Green Rider -- Kristin Britain (it's the one I'm re-reading right now)

I also love the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings. I read them when I was twelve and still love them. The books belong to my parents, but they have two sets of the trilogy, so I'm hoping they'll let me take one with me when I move :)
HeroesJesus is absolutely number one. Not only has He saved my life, but He suffered and died a horrible death so that He could save my soul -- and yours, too.

Others include:
-Mom, for standing strong and for passing on an incredible legacy of faith, and for teaching me so many awesome things that I can't even begin to list... and for always loving me no matter what :)
-Congressman Trent Franks. I had the honor of attending the SFL Western Regional Conference, where he spoke. He told us about his life, how he was born with a cleft lip and palate and had to be fed with an eyedropper as a baby. But his family valued his life and continued to take care of him. He said that as he grew up -- and went through many difficult surgeries to correct his disability -- he still thanked God that he was alive. He has an amazing perspective and respect for human life, and has come a long way to get to where he is now. He is one of the champions in the pro-life movement and is sponsoring the Life at Conception Act in congress now. In other words, he rocks :)
-C.S. Lewis -- I don't know much about his life, but I've read several of his books and am extremely impressed with his writing abilities -- as well as his ability to draw his faith into nearly every story without ever making it sound cheesy.
-John Locke, from "Lost." He's almost constantly screwing up, and yet he never loses faith or gives up -- which is particularly impressive after all he's been through. He just picks himself up off the ground and keeps going, determined as ever.

About me:
um... in case you haven't figured it out by now, I'm mildly insane and break all the rules. Not laws, just... cultural rules and molds. I basically tell molds to go screw themselves. I've developed a... er... serious distaste for all things ordinary and mainstream and "normal," as they like to call it. The closest subculture category I come to is Goth, and I identify myself as such (although my rendition of Goth is so different that it took my mom a couple years to figure out I'm Gothic). I'm an artist (mostly metalsmithing and writing for now), and the need to personalize or alter things to make them "new" leaks out onto everything -- including my wardrobe (much to my mom's dismay) and some sticker-smothered objects and furniture in my bedroom.

I'm a Bible-thumping Jesus Freak and have a very high level of concern about moral issues, and hence am an alert voter and activist. I am a pro-life feminist and am pretty hard-core about equal rights.

The most important thing, though, is that a difference in beliefs isn't going to stop any friendship. Several very clost friends of mine are pro-choice. It just makes for an interesting discussion topic. We keep each others' minds sharp :)

I also hate lying. Lying to me is the fastest way to lose me as a friend. I value honesty enough that I've resolved to live my life without lying. During the interview process for DPS, I had to go through a polygraph; when they asked me if I'd ever lied and I said no, I passed. That's how important it is to me. I believe there's no such thing as a "white lie."

...and I guess that's all I can think of to say here :P

Who I'd like to meet:
FACE TO FACE: God, if I can; in the Bible it says that His glory is so overwhelming that one glance could kill us.... but what a way to go!

ON THE INTERNET: people who share some of my interests, especially people who are polite and civil in their writing. I am NOT interested in dating ANYONE on here. My online interests are strictly Platonic (or argumentative, depending on who you are.....)

It makes me wanna be a cop over there and shake down the whole lot of them single handed. Nobody should ever be afraid of protectors of the law like that, especially when theyre pretty much breaking the laws of the country and God himself. They'll get theirs eventually, I guarantee it.

Lol, I never lived in the city. 15 minutes out from it roughly, but never actually LIVED in it with the exception of 6 months. That story will be brought to attention soon.

The city is alright with the drivers, I am just paranoid of the cops, and I don't know why.

Eh Im not worried about it. I can survive this.

Yeah all of the state's funds are drying up quickly. Something's gotta give soon or I guarantee that this country's gonna have a wide-scale riot on their hands.

Congrats on your Internship, I hope it goes well. The city isn't too bad, Im sure you'll be alright, though I've never been to Phoenix before.
