About me: One of the oldest continually owned and operated African-American businesses on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, Gidden's Do-Drop-Inn in Weirwood has been a renowned establishment for providing entertainment, cultural activities, private events, and charitable services.
The Do-Drop-Inn was established over 40 years ago on July 18, 1967 by self made businessman Mr. Lloyd Henry Giddens Sr., providing a venue for recreation, music and mouth watering food by Ms Annie.
Over the years, Gidden's Do-Drop-Inn has been home to diverse musical talent ranging from Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup, the Crudup Brothers,Tim Drummond,The Malibus, Guitar Slim Jr., Black Elvis, Ernie K-Doe, Roy "C", Burleigh Strand, J. Plunky Branch, William Bell and many more !
Now open on Friday and Saturday nights from 6pm til, the musical tradition continues with local music, national acts or a DJ and always great food. Book your holiday parties and special events.
