Since its inception over eleven years ago, Gideon has evolved from a go-go band to an assemblage of versatile singers, musicians and worshippers who incorporate a myriad of styles in their music. Whether on stage, at the altar, or in the streets, you can count on Gideon to seamlessly blend soul-stirring worship and hard-hitting praise in a combination that continually thwarts the plan of the Enemy..... Because of their unique ability to deliver not only entertaining music, but also the never-ending message of God's love, Gideon is in great demand at conferences, retreats, revivals, festivals and other gatherings-both youth and adult oriented. Gideon, one of the few full-fledged bands in gospel music, has been blessed to minister not only locally and regionally, but also to an ever-growing national fan base. Over the years, the band has ministered along with some of the most noted names in the gospel music industry. They include Hezekiah Walker & the Love Fellowship Crusade Choir, John P. Kee and the New Life Community Choir, Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers, Commissioned, Fred Hammond, Mary Mary, Natalie Wilson & the S.O.P. Chorale, Kim Burrell, Angelo & Veronica, Karen Clark-Sheard, Deitrick Haddon, Maurette Brown-Clark, Tye Tribbett, Virtue, Izzy, Adrian King, and Byron Cage..... Gideon has also performed at the famed Apollo Theater; at the Black Radio Exclusive Broadcasters Convention (BRE), at Paramount's Kings Dominion theme park; on the Black Entertainment Television network (BET), at the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA); at the National Council of Negro Women's Black Family Reunion; at the Radio One Network's Expo and at the Gospel Music Association's (GMA) Regional Artist Spotlight Competition where they garnered top honors for urban-contemporary gospel artist. Led by founder, Cornelius Berkeley, the band is currently promoting its self-produced, ground-breaking debut project -- a live compact disc and video entitled, The Experience: Praise-Intimacy-Worship-Celebration.
